CHAPTER 57: The Rise & Beginning Of A Fall
I arrived with Paragon as we originally wanted to go after Hook. But I constantly kept telling him that he wasn't mentioned to be scheduled here tonight.
Paragon was stubborn to believe me but he eventually found out for himself that Hook wasn't here tonight.
He stopped in his tracks placing his hands at his hips while glancing down at the floor, looking all grumpy. "God damn it......" he hissed in sheer disappointment, his cheeks were flushed with a shade of red, keeping his lips in a tight, strict frown.
I heard him sigh deeply through his nostrils then he darted his cold set of blue hues on me. "Looks like I'm going to have to take a visit to the office to have a little talk with Mr Tony Khan....." he muttered then tightly clenched his jaw.
I on the other hand stood there seeing how pissed he seemed, even though he's remaining composed it's just noticeable on the way he's standing. You could really sense the angry demeanor radiating from him like a dark smog.
As much as I would like to win the FTW title off of Hook, I came because I was more focused on wanting to straighten things out between me and Skye. I was even holding a bouquet of blue roses so that I could give them to my girl. My precious bluebell.
My brows furrowed some and asked out of curiousity "What are you going to talk to him about?"
Paragon took in a deep breath as he cracked his knuckles "Oh, well I'm going to head down there to ask him about Hook's whereabouts and ask if that kid is booked into any future events. Maybe that way, we'll know when to go in for the kill. Because I sure as hell am not going to make a wasted trip to a show where Hook isn't even participating in. Speaking of, I'll give Tony a piece of my mind too while I'm at it" he replied which came off as a bit threatening.
I was honestly a little apprehensive cause I felt that he was going to do something that maybe irrational.
"I mean.....I understand your disappointment and all but.....Just don't give him TOO much of a piece of your mind....." I said.
Paragon casually nodded while gently cracking his knuckles. "Don't worry. I won't. Just think of me as a neighbor giving a noise complaint"
Then he turned to me, looking at the bouquet of flowers in my hand in a judgemental manner.
"I just don't understand why you're so hung up about that Skye Blue girl.....You coulda had any girl you want and you chose her...."
