I know I probably should have talked to Eijiro when classes let out after talking to the Big Three, especially since I didn't have training I had to do that evening, but I didn't. In fact, I avoided not only him, but everyone. It sucks our fight, or misunderstanding, or disagreement, or whatever it is, is happening right now, because this time of year is difficult for me.

"Ri-Ri?" Mashirao knocks on my door around dinner time that night. "Can I come in?"

"Yeah." I mumble back, then unlock the door and bring him in, locking it again behind him before returning to my Fat Gum and Endeavor plushies I had been cuddling before he got in. My poor Endeavor plushie is missing an eye, just like me, only his is courtesy of an angry eight year old Inasa who tried to rip him apart when we were kids. I still love it though, but it's definitely not as cute as my Fat Gum one.

"You look worse than normal this time of year." Mashirao observes, crawling up into my bed and letting me lean on him as he wraps an arm around me. "You seemed mad at Kirishima earlier too. You wanna talk about it?"

"No." I grumble out, then start talking anyway. "He thinks I'm cheating on him. With Katsuki."

"What? Why would he think that?" He asks in surprise, shifting to look at my face better. "You're like, the most loyal person there is. I find it hard to believe he would ever accidentally think that, especially since you've been spending like all of your time with him."

"I was talking to Katsuki during the night since I was having a nightmare. He offered to help if I couldn't sleep." I answer truthfully. "He's the only other person here who's been through what I have, it's been nice to have someone to talk to since Ina-nii isn't here and you're a cranky piece of crap when you get woken up. No offense."

"That was a bit offensive." He chuckles at me, rubbing my arm soothingly. "Did you tell Kirishima that's why you were meeting Bakugo?"

"I didn't get a chance before he jumped to his conclusion." I answer sadly. "It doesn't help it happened right now, ya know? I'm already sad and full of guilt."

"Still going tomorrow?" He asks softly, and I nod against his shoulder. "Well, maybe talk it out with him after you go, you'll feel better in a few days. It sounds like it was just a misunderstanding, but he shouldn't have jumped to conclusions. Maybe he has a different problem with you hanging out with Bakugo."

"They're best friends, they should trust each other. And Eiji should trust me." I say stubbornly before sighing and letting it go. "But yeah, I'll talk to him. After. Maybe I'll understand better after tomorrow."

"Get some rest. And if you can't sleep tonight, just come over. I promise not to get mad." He says softly before standing.

"Awake you and sleeping you remember different promises." I tease him, remembering one of the few times I slept over at his house when we were little. I've feared for my life a few times because of villains, but sleepy and mad Mashirao also made the list as some of the scariest things I've seen.

He smirks at me with a wave before leaving. I didn't even notice, but he brought me up a plate of food. He's seriously the best friend in the world, he knew I wouldn't have eaten otherwise. I nibble a bit on the food before floating to the roof of Class 1-C's building for a few hours with my textbooks, getting some work done while also enjoying the calm evening, all without being worried about being found or interrupted. Shinso told me he's the only one who goes on his roof, and I don't mind if he comes up since he'll likely just sit in silence anyway, but he never did tonight.

I did wake up during the night because of my dreams again, but I had gotten four hours of fairly good sleep so I just got dressed for the day then played video games with Inasa since he was awake in his own dorms. I wasn't the only one who couldn't sleep at least. I played with him until he got picked up by dad, then played solo until it was my time to go.
