I took a deep breath outside my classroom door the next morning, knowing everyone would have a lot of questions. I came to school a few minutes early just for this, I was going to give a short explanation to them all. So with determination, I opened the door and walked in, causing everyone's head to turn to me. Thankfully, I was still the last one in this morning, so I wouldn't have to explain twice.

I had heard from outside the door some of them talking about being on the news about the attack from yesterday, but since my dad had literally flown off with me, I didn't appear in any of the articles. Just as well, I could have been caught in my hero costume if Makoto hadn't gotten to me before the press and my father.

I marched straight to the front of the class and bowed deeply to everyone, cutting off multiple people's questions they were already asking me.

"I'm sorry about being so abrupt yesterday and leaving after such a selfish and odd request of you all." I start off saying and then stand up straight again. "I'll explain... My father doesn't know I'm in the Hero Course because he forbade me from training after my incident when I was six. He refused to allow me to grow up and be a hero since he believed I was too crippled to achieve my childhood dream alongside my brother. But I never gave up, so I trained myself at night in secret, sometimes with the aid of my twin, but for the most part all on my own. We tricked our dad into signing the Hero Course forms for UA, and he thinks I'm here in the General Studies Course..." I took a deep breath, realizing I said most of that quickly and all in one breath. "I know he'll find out eventually, but until then, me being a hero in training is still a secret."

I spotted Mashirao smiling at me from the front row, proud I told everyone. He knows how hard it is for me to seek acceptance from others, he's seen firsthand that usually people reject my goals. It wasn't only at school that I had bullies, I had some in the dojo as well, and it wasn't until years of training that I was finally able to start to prove myself worthy of accomplishing my goals. So standing in front of 18 other people and trusting them with my goals, this was difficult for me. I found I could only look at Mashirao right now, not prepared to potentially see the looks in anyone's eyes if they agreed with my father, that I was too crippled to achieve my goal.

"Your goal is so manly!!" Kirishima's loud cheer of support was the first sound after my little speech. I glanced over and saw him standing up from his desk with his signature grin and his fist raised in determination.

"That's crazy he doesn't think you're strong enough, you're one of the top students here!" Uraraka chimes in next excitedly.

"That damn extra needs to get his fucking eyes checked. No way a goddamn weakling would tie with me otherwise." Bakugo surprisingly chimed in, making my eyes widen. Praise from him seems seldom, and to get such sincere praise was shocking.

"While I abhor that you broke the rules to enter this program, I admire your drive to become a hero and prove your worth." Iida adds in next, shaking his arm robotically up and down.

Many more praises from others joined in, and I found myself grinning from ear to ear. I've always had support from Inasa and Makoto in my goals, and also from Mashirao, but getting it now from so many people is amazing.

"Thank you all so much! I'm going to work super hard to prove myself!" I cheer out to them loudly, then take my seat as the bell rings.

"I wonder who our teacher is going to be today?" Ashido asks from the other side of the class.

"Maybe a substitute?" Tsu answers uncertainly.

"Morning class." The muffled voice of Aizawa says as he walks into the room, covered seemingly hairline to toe in bandages and looking like a mummy.
