Chapter 26: Training Camp Part 3, Invasion

Poor Mina, Kaminari and Sero thought they were going to play the test of courage with us, but they got dragged to their remedial classes instead, quite literally. Aizawa's capture scarf put an end to their hope of fun for the evening, and I waved them off as if they were going to war while I laughed.

"Alright class A, we're going to start our test of courage!" Tiger says ominously after class B had a good ten minutes to get into position in the woods. "Class B is already set up, so we're going to draw lots and go in pairs. We've got an odd number, so one person will either go alone or join a pair, we'll figure that out later. Come draw lots!"

"Revelry in the dark." I say at the same time as Tokoyami, knowing he was totally going to say it just now. I turn a cheesy grin to my bird-headed friend who gives me a deadpan.

"Better than a revelry in the air." Tokoyami mutters out with a shiver.

"Aww, come on, you enjoyed flying by the end of the week!" I tease him lightly as we grabbed lots. I drew mine and pouted when I saw it. "9? That mean's I go alone... This would be so boring to go alone, there would be no one to tease."

"Well, then I leave it up to you, you can join a group or go solo." Mandalay says kindly as she comes to my side and sees my number.

"Oi, Tail, trade with me." Bakugo says threateningly to Mashirao, pointing to his partner Todoroki with a dark aura. That's a terrible match up, but also totally hilarious.

"No switching!" Pixie-Bob cheers out to them.

"Then Airhead you better be on my damn team, I'm not going to into the forest alone with this icy hot bastard." Bakugo turns to me and glares.

"Aw man, I wanted Risa! Come with me and Midoriya!" Kirishima says to me with a grin, trying to sway me over to his team. I debate that one for a moment, I bet Midoriya would be terrified of everything out there, and I totally want to know if Kirishima has a manly scream or a girly one.

"Ri-Ri?" Mashirao offers simply if I want to join him and Mineta, and now I'm sort of surrounded by people who want me on their team.

"Um... sorry, but my heart has chosen." I reject them all and watch several glares and confused expressions form, and even a few nervous ones. "Revelry in the dark." I say mysteriously and run over to Tokoyami and Shoji. "Lover, Kage, can I join your team?"

"You're going to scare the scarers, aren't you?" Tokoyami asks me, and I grin wickedly.

"Oh like you weren't?" I tease him, and he turns his head but doesn't deny it. "It's fine, Lover here will keep us safe. Maybe not out of trouble, but he'll keep us safe." I lean up against Shoji and bat my eyes, and he pats my head in response making me smile at him.

"We're up first." Shoji says and we turn to the starting section of the forest.

"Team 1, head on in!" Pixie-Bob calls to us, then we take off into the forest.

I was super excited walking through the dark forest with my friends, the full moon illuminating the forest fairly easily. It took a few minutes before we came across the first class B students. It was that manga head boy, and he literally shouted a 'boo' at us as the word landed in front of us along the path. His voice cutting through the dark caused all three of us to jump slightly, but otherwise we just walked around the words with neutral faces. The next student we passed was just a head that popped out of he ground, seemingly without a body.

"Wow, that's a super cool quirk." I say happily to the girl's head who just gave a blank expression. "Is your body still attached? Are you actually under the ground, or is the ground under you? Can you breath like this? Is this your quirk or a tag team quirk effect? Is it warm or cold under there? Do you feel more like a reanimated corpse or like a zombie right now?"
