"What happened..." I muttered, examining myself to search for broken parts.
"Hmm...?"
But no matter how I look, there were no signs of me being damaged.
Or did I lose consciousness yesterday...?
"You're awake?" General Roger asked, sitting rather comfortably from his chair, drinking something, coffee perhaps. "Well, awake is not the exact term... You conscious now?"
I really... lost consciousness yesterday.
"Did I malfunction?" I stood up and asked. "Or is it that I'm broken?"
"Unfortunately, no," he replied. "Aaron said that was normal."
...Unfortunately?
"It's a way you can provide your robot parts with energy without the use of electricity, or in human words, it's like sleeping," he added. "... Oh, to be clear, that was his words, not mine. You better not ask me any nerd kinds of stuff..." he added before taking a sip of his coffee.
"How convenient..." I said my thoughts out loud.
"Exactly," he said. "Jeez... What a convenient shi- machine you are..."
Shi-? He's about to say something else...
But, sleeping, huh...
So, I can somewhat experience the act of sleeping that humans partake in with this body of mine. And as General Roger said - It's convenient.
As I look around me, it looks like it's just me and him inside this tent.
As I remembered, Mr. Aaron was here last night, right?
"Where's Mr. Aaron?" I asked. "Was he here when I lost consciousness last night?"
"Aaron? He went home last night," General Roger replied. "He also went here earlier but he already left."
"Why did he leave last night?"
"Because... he wanted to."
"Then why is he here earlier?"
"I called him last night to come here."
"Why did you call him here?"
"...Because someone fell last night on the ground unconscious."
"Who?"
...I don't have a single clue who it is.
"..." He didn't answer and looked me straight in the eye.
"Who fell on the ground unconscious last night?" I repeated my question.
"...Jeez, are you even serious...?" he muttered. "Sir. dumb little shit." he bluntly said, staring into my eyes.
...Who's Sir. Dumb Little Shit?
"Who's that?" I asked, tilting my head a little.
I have no idea who's that...
"...I don't know. Ask someone else," he said, pausing for a moment, "maybe you'll get the answer you want."
"...Understood."
I stood up, looked outside the tent, and decided to go ask someone.
When I was about to leave, General Roger called me. "Hey, wait a minute," he said. "Where are you going?"
"Outside," I said, stopping and turning around. "I'll ask someone."
Just like he ordered me to do.
"Ask someone...?" he repeated. "...And you're going outside wearing that?"
