Jacob's little brother? By 'Jacob', does he mean Mr. Aaron's son? If that's the case, then I am technically somewhat this 'Jacob's' little brother because of certain reasons. But why did he ask such a thing with a troubled look?

"Lieutenant Narc," General Roger intentionally interrupted, trying to change the topic. "What are you here for?"

"...!" Lieutenant Narc jolted, slowly removing the grip of his hands. He then fixed the shoulder part of my uniform. "S-Sorry about that," He forced a smile as his perplexed expression changed into a relaxed one in an instant. "Let me fix this up for you..."

"Is it about the North?" General Roger continued.

Lieutenant Narc faced him, took a deep breath, and changed his expression into a serious one. "Yes, sir. They dispatched a large number of soldiers to the North," he explained, "about two.... no, three times more than the last time they attacked."

"..."

A short pause followed after that. Everyone inside the tent who was full of vigor earlier became petrified as the atmosphere inside became rather stiff.

"Shit..." General Roger clicked his tongue. "Prepare for battle," he said, looking at Lieutenant Narc with a sharp look. "We're departing."

"Yes, sir!" Lieutenant Narc saluted before he walked away, planning to exit the tent.

"And please," General Roger added, sighing exaggeratedly, "wear your top on, it's distracting..."

"Do you perhaps," Lieutenant Narc sighed as he paused walking, "want to touch it -"

"No," General Roger immediately rejected without even letting Lieutenant Narc finish. "N-No, thank you..."

"Is that so?" Lieutenant Narc giggled. He then walked to the exit of the tent but stopped midway and tilted his head sideward where he can see me through the corner of his eye. "I almost forgot. Rem..."

"Yes," I answered, "what is it, Lieutenant Narc?"

"About your... Uhm... brother, Jacob..." he said in a low tone, slowly facing forward him. "Let's discuss that after. So don't you dare die on me later..."

Though I don't know what's there to be discussed -

"...Understood," I still agreed.

After that, Lieutenant Narc wore his clothes again and went outside, to inform other soldiers to prepare it seems. General Roger also went outside after him. Luna returned to the tent feeling a little bit better after taking a load of 'bad feelings' from her stomach, or so she says. We, Sergeant Charlotte's squad, also prepared, and soon after, we went to the same truck we rode last time we went to the North.

The paper, which you could call a farewell message or something along those lines, was given to Sergeant Charlotte before we went to the truck. She, without a second thought, crumpled it all up, tossed it inside her bag, and went straight to where we are now - Inside the truck. I also hear her and Shaun arguing as to why he wrote a love letter instead of the one being asked to comply.

Again, like last time, all of us inside the truck became silent. The sound of the tires roughly rolling on the ground is all I can hear.

"...?"

Déjà vu?

...Wait, I think I already said Deja Vu before.

A Déjà vu of me saying Déjà vu...?

Déjà vu, I don't understand it...

"...?"

Speaking of Déjà vu, I remembered something that we forgot to do earlier. The -
