"Good morning, sir!" All of the soldiers shouted after they went into the tent, saluting with stern faces.

"Yes, good morning," General Roger lazily saluted back.

"..."

Again, the atmosphere inside the tent became rather tense right after General Roger started talking. All eyes were on him at the time we came into the tent.

"As you all know," He began speaking, "Kon didn't attack the North since the day someone threw rocks at them..." He then looked at me, emphasizing the word 'someone'. "There are rumors in the camp, even outside the battlefield, that there is a 'spy' from the other country investigating and sabotaging our plan, am I right?" he added, his eyes glaring at us one by one.

"..." Everybody looked at one another and remained silent.

Standing beside me, I saw Math with a petrified look on his face while looking at General Roger.

"Am I right?!" General Roger repeated, yelling.

"Y-Yes, sir!" Everybody except Math yelled back simultaneously.

"I don't care if you don't believe it or who the hell you guys are saying who's who. I just want to say one thing - There's only one that believes you, and that's yourself."

"That's not just one thing, you said a whole sentence," I interrupted.

"Shut up, Rem," General Roger retorted.

"...Understood -"

"I said, shut up, Rem..." he repeated, glaring.

"..." I just then nodded and continued to listen.

I don't know why but General Roger is on a streak of calling my name today...

"As you all know -"

"That's the second time you said that shit," Sergeant Charlotte cut off General Roger, glaring. "Can you cut to the chase already?"

"I-I'm sorry...." General Roger stuttered.

"..."

...What's with the different responses?

"A-Ahem..." General Roger forced a cough. "As everyone knows -"

"That's the same thing," Sergeant Charlotte, for the second time, cut him off.

"Y-Yeah, you're right..." General Roger quivered. "S-Sorry..."

"...?"

Again, why? Even the other soldiers didn't bother to look at Sergeant Charlotte...

Maidens... No. Sergeant Charlotte is... what do you call that term again? ...Amazing?

"I think I saw a dead body outside earlier..." I heard someone at the back whispering. I also noticed some of them taking a quick peek outside.

Dead body...? Do they mean -

Sergeant Charlotte glanced at me. "H-Hey... I think we forgot someone..." she said in a low tone.

"Yes, I think we did..." I replied.

I went outside to where I thought they are looking.

There I saw a man in the distance, lying on the ground just like I expected.

Yes, it was Shaun, still wearing a grinning face... How did he even manage to smile in this condition?

Shaun, I don't understand him...

I kneeled and tried poking his cheeks. "Shaun, wake up," I said in a low tone. "The meeting is starting."

"N-No~ Don't do that sergeant~," he started giggling, still lying on the ground unconscious. "This will wait until our marriage~"
