THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY

Chapter-21

I sat under the tree near the school ground, aching all over my body.
she's strong i mean both of them are strong.my cheek burns. i tried to lift my left hand but i can't. i wish i could scream. My eyes filled with tears. i don't know wether my tears are for my anger or for my pain. i was in both the situations. Kids around started staring at me.

" Hey..! it's that girl from the party right! the shorty hottie one!" the guy at the party said walking near to me.

Gosh! I wonder why do every hard situations in my life come together at once.

I said nothing but turned back.i pulled my left sleeve in front covering my hand cause of pain.

" Oo...look at her! Are you hiding your skin?" he said and started with his friends.

He bend down,placing his face closer to mine. i moved my face away.

" Are you scared?" he said showing a sad face. he caught my left hand hard so that it ll be hard for me to pull out.

" leave my hand!" i said. i groaned out of pain.

" You know you look hot in that shorts than in hoodie..but i'm okay with it!" he said.

" But i'm not okay with you!" Luke said and kicked him.
Under the tree was a small slope where he fell..rolling around." I told you not to mess around with my girl!" he shouted.

My girl?!...he's seriously asking for a slap.

" Ben...if you touch her again..you won't survive here!" roger said.
Well..my bro is doing good.
Luke walked near him. He caught the collar of his shirt.

" I've already given you a warning! stay away from me and my people...you know how badly it'll end if you show your guts and strength on them! I'm sure you do remember everything!" he said and pushed him again.
He narrowed his eyes on Luke making me feel goosebumps. his sharp eyes are so scary.

" Let's go!" ben said to his friends and they went.

Both of them looked at each other and looked at me. giving a sympathetic look. this is one of the most embarrassing moment ever in my life;making me feel that i'm not protected and i don't know how to handle things myself, concluding that i need bodyguards and i can't live myself in this world.
Tears fell down my face. i tried my best so that i won't burst up.

Roger walked near me and bend down.i stood up and took a step.

" Savy..are you-"

" Stop it!! will you!" i shouted.

" Savy..what ha-"

" Enough is enough! i'm done with it! who are you both? life saviors? body guards? or some human protection associators?" i shouted. they looked at each other. "...you think i can't protect myself..? so that you people have to appear each and every time when i'm in trouble! you think i'm helpless!?"
Roger sighed and looked away but Luke kept staring at me folding his hands.
" Then hear it! i've always been alone! and i will be alone! i know how to live without you life saviors! And i don't need anyone of you people's help!" i said and burst up. i cried hard.

" Savana...." Luke said.
Roger came closer.
" Savana see-"
" Don't touch me..! just stay away! alright! leave me alone!" i said and ran out from there wiping my tears off.

After school..i didn't wait for roger to come with me. i went straight to my home. i mean dad's home. Daisy was there preparing something for dinner. i guess she's an awesome cook. The smell from the kitchen made my mouth filled with water.
" Oh your home...where's roggie..?" Daisy said. i replied nothing. i don't want her to see me with my wet face.
I ran to my room. all i could think now is lying on my bed,sleeping. i throw my bag to the floor and took off my hoodie. i went to the bathroom and looked myself in the mirror. Ugly.useless. Dumbest.stupidest of all.i thought myself. i can see dry blood on the side of my lips. no wonder kids at school stare me when i walked through the corridor.
I lift both my hands. i groan with pain. i can't even move my left hand. i washed my face with right hand and went to take a nap.
Am i a helpless girl? do i need protection? What happened to the boldness and courage that i had? so many thoughts running in my head make me feel sick. i shake my head to let go the thoughts from my mind and closed my eyes.
