THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY

Chapter-24

" I've asked permission from doctor so that you can go back tomorrow and continue school. you might have alot to complete." daisy said.

I was just sitting in the room,entire day talking with roger. if he wasn't there..then i would be dead by now;boredom kills the man.

" Okay." I said.

" that sound's like " roger looked at me joining his lips tighter,narrowing his. "Showing her art to school!"

" Ohh..thanks for reminding!!" I said irritated.

After sometime dad came in with my mom. it was shocking. my dad with my mom. MY MOM! I didn't want this to happen.

" God! what happened to you.." She almost burst into tears.

" It's nothing serious..you didn't have to come all the way here."

" Don't say that..when your dad called me..i almost died!"

" Well..you had a haircut? Ohhh teenage mom! Changes in people!"
She didn't say anything,but just stood still. I saw the pain in her eyes. but i couldn't accept her. cause she belong to another family and i don't belong there or with her.
" My hair got burnt while straightening. so i decided to cut it off." She said with a pretty smile.

I tried my maximum not to reply. cause if i talk it turns out like i'm shouting at her.

" Roger can you get me my hoodie?" It was cold. I wonder how it's so chilly especially when it's summer.

"I'll take it for u..!" mom said and got up.

" No thanks!.." She looked at me.
"...I mean..he'll take it for me." i said.
Roger passed me my hoodie.

"Ohh.." she said. She looked disappointed. " is he your new friend.?" she said kind of like teasing me.

"No..he's my brother!"

She looked at me, surprised.

"Oh..i never know..i guess he's such a loving brother."

" He's more than that." i said in one breath.
She looked like she was hurt. maybe she's jealous..i don't know..she almost looked blank.

" Great..mm..how wa-"

" I'm tired..i gotta sleep..and it's late! you should go home" i said.

Her presence in the room made the atmosphere silent..weird..roger looked confused..so it was better if she leave even though i wanted her to stay for a little while.

She opened her mouth to say something..but she didn't. she stared at me. i saw her eyes filled. she faked a smile.

" Then..i think..i should go!" She said and kissed my forehead and stood like that for a minute. And she walked out.

" Mom haan?" Roger asked.

" Hmnnn....!"

It was 8:00 already. Daisy was still there.. folding clothes and packing for tomorrow. and roger was on the phone.
I kind of missed Louisa..i was curious enough. where did she disappear. well..she can disappear cause she's an angel..as she said. But she said that she never stayed alone.
I looked around searching for her and suddenly luke came in. i almost got a heart attack..i didn't know why.

" Hey....." She shouted.

Roger looked at his watch and turned to him.

"i know i know! sorry dude! i know i'm late..! match was there!"

" Who won?"

" Do you really have to ask? ofcourse us! the wanters!"

I guessed his team name is wanters cause he wore a t-shirt written a no. 4 and wanters.
He looked good with it. but i just looked away acting like i don't even care that he's here.
