THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY

CHAPTER-46

I looked out of the window. I never knew there's such a better view from avalon's window. Our backyard is more closer to her window than mine.
This is the place where Avalon used to stand..i walked to the mirror and looked at my own reflection. I could imagine her, standing here...dressing up...
At the side of the mirror i saw a photo frame kept upside down i.e the photo part was covered.

I took it to see it. I saw two smiling faces looking at each other..It was my boyfriend and my step sister. They seem soo in love, that i wanna dump Luke to Avalon right now. I couldn't look at it anymore. I kept it aside and sighed looking at Avalon.

i saw a dream catcher hanging from the mirror. Similar to the one which was given to me by tom.

" Did Roger gave you this..?" i asked.
She smiled. Well..yea..it took me a second to realize that she can't speak out anything about herself.

I sighed. Even though i tried to stop myself from looking at the photo frame..my eyes glanced at it again. To my surprise..Avalon came and picked the photo frame, wiping off the dust on it with her hands..i kept staring at it.

" Turning seventeen..." She started and i looked at her. " i can see it...my time's gonna end in here..sooner.." she said and looked at me. " This night..some things are gonna happen..it's clearly seen.."

I felt heaviness in my chest and my throat.I sweated. Times with her brought me alot of pain...anger..happiness..and my lost memories.. It's hard to hear that she's gonna leave soon.

" Does that mean we're gonna find your killer?" I asked.

She didn't say anything..

" Not just the killer..everything that was left unknown..i can't be with you tonight ..cause this is the day i was born and the night i died.." She said.

My heart ached and i felt tired all of a sudden.

" Whenever i saw Luke..i cried in the dark alone..praying to god to give me one last chance to be in this beautiful world...one last chance to hold him tight...one last chance to be with my family.."

Tears fell down her cheeks.

" Watching him suffer because of me was hard..it was hard that i couldn't help him,but just cry along with him.."

I blinked my tears off..

" But i'm sure savy...the ones which turned me this way...will suffer for the rest of their lives..and i'll make sure that goes well..." she said.

i saw blood in her eyes. It looked like she've turned to a complete evil ghost..more than that i saw anger and pain in her eyes.

My blood boiled all over..i felt like my body gained more strength. I have to find her killer..or killers..whoever it is..as she said i'm not gonna let them leave a peaceful life.

She turned to me with a smile.

" You look hot today.." she said.

I'm dressed for homecoming..it's already 5:30 and luke told me he'll pick me up at 6:00..and i guess he's gonna be late.

I smiled at her. i was wearing a black frock which has a net neck. I loved this dress. Beth really knew my tastes. I brushed my hair and left it with big curls...my usual hairstyle.And daisy did my makeup. I was ready to go..but now i feel like i'm not.

" Go and get the crown..! " She said.

I wasn't interested in the crown..as she said. if it was beth i'd have said ' what's the need of a crown when i already got the prince? ' but it's not something to joke around here..
