Riley Lawrence was once considered the queen of karate in the Valley. She had barely hit fifteen years old and already had two champion titles under her karate belt, something that not many people were able to achieve at her age.
But unlike most of her competitors, karate was practically running through her veins. It was expected of her to follow in the footsteps of her father, who also happened to be a champion. She was born to pursue the sport and as soon as she showed any sliver of enthusiasm, she was given her very own gi to fit into.
Though Riley was willingly pursuing the sport, that didn't stop the immense pressure from plaguing her every waking moment. The expectations for her to succeed were much greater than she anticipated. She couldn't be a failure, especially when she was the descendant of a former champion. She had to do good, if not better than he did.
