The most anticipated day of the year was finally upon on the Cobra Kai team . . . it was finally the day of the All-Valley tournament. All of them had practically been worked to the bone, exhaustion and muscle aches became their new normal as they excessively trained for this monumental event. They wanted to show off to everyone that they could bestow the title of champion and their appearance at this tournament could help to solidify that mentality.

But that didn't stop the nerves from creeping up on them. Many of them were struggling to believe that they could live up to the expectations of their Sensei. Their was a clear loss of confidence upon realization that they were supposed to compete against other teams, who had practically dedicated more years of their life to this sport. They were trying their best to keep their head up, no matter how hard it may seem.

But to make this experience more manageable for everyone, Riley Lawrence had decided to take charge of the team, practically becoming their unofficial captain. She may not be competing but she still involved herself in every aspect of their training to ensure that they were all well prepared for the highly anticipated tournament. She would lead practice, wash their gis, organize the paperwork and do other things that kept the team from falling apart.

This was her way of slowly easing back into the sport, without having the heavy burden re-finding its place on her shoulders. This was making process in her mind. She knew that she had yet to officially recovered from her trauma from karate but she knew that this was a step closer to repairing her relationships and her mental state and that's all she wanted to do in this current moment.

"What are you doing?" Riley looked up from her clipboard and was greeted with the sight of Hawk, whose eyes were drawn to the pile of paperwork that she was currently working through.

"Just making sure that all of you shitheads filled out your forms properly. You can't compete it without these papers and I don't trust my own father to do this, so here I am doing it for you." Riley explained, not tearing her eyes away from the clipboard.

"Smart." The male just nodded in agreement before his eyes were quickly drawn to his friend, Miguel Diaz, who was in the process of aggressively practicing his moves. "Yo, calm down, man! Save some for the tournament." He received a glare in response, still practically fuming with anger because of the incident at the creek.
