On the final day all my work was done and dusted. I simply sat down and enjoyed the world around me for the first time in forever. Elsa was a little less nervous that before. All the time I was busy she was as if she was going through it all alone, but now I was freed up, she finally realised that during the coronation, I was going to be sitting not five metres away in the front row. However, this didn't mean that she could just shut off al nerves in the hours beforehand. Though today, she just sat and enjoyed her last day as a princess. She sat, like me, on the sofa but instead of gawking out the window, she made up little songs in her head and murmured them to herself. We just did our normal routine with no surprises. Elsa didn't say much, but was happy. She was deep in a flowing, yet gentle thought. From what I could see, she was not depressing herself. At dinner, there was an average conversation. It would be rude to ignore the other people at the table. She had to start using these rules more often and she had begun some real practise a couple of months ago. As of instruction, she went to bed early and after a last check on absolutely everything, which was still in full flow as the servants emerged from the woodwork to decorate and prepare, I too had an early night. Things needed to be done at an incredibly early hour the following morning and I still wanted to be refreshed for the whole day ahead, so the early night was advisable. However, at the time, I had no idea, that this, would be, the last silence, before the almighty raging storm...
