As time went on, both me and Elsa grew older. Due to the isolation that Elsa and I were still confined under, it meant that the entire hallway, which was filled with multiple rooms, had been abandoned for years and never looked upon for any uses, not even as storage. Trust was not a strong aspect when the servants were confronted with Elsa's name. Though, because the rooms were empty, it meant that, if needed, there was the availability of expansion of our quarters. For the first three years of my time as guard to Elsa, we had an optimal amount of space and there was never a need for any additional room as Elsa spent a lot of time cooped up in the corner, drowning in her own thoughts, while I did my best to maintain both hers and my own sanity. I'd hate to start sounding like a broken record, but being inside every waking moment for such a long time, does things to your head that shouldn't happen in a healthy and active mind. From I first stepped foot into the palace as an employee, I have changed a lot personally as I had now become more at peace with myself due to the accomplishment of bringing a slight glimmer of hope into Elsa's life. I now had a sense of true responsibility given the challenging job that I pursue, only because no one else would have been up to it.  Elsa, having being locked up in this room for just over ten years on and off, had developed a strong case of social anxiety around everyone except me now. This did show at first when I walked in three years previously. But she was witty enough to realise that I wasn't about to leave and she left this aside for her own sake to befriend me. At first she had no choice but it soon became a decision she would never regret. However, I must say that being around Elsa and only Elsa for so long did have its affects and that some of her social anxiety had been rubbed off on me. Still, around other people that she had never met before, she had no clue about how to react and would definitely have no control of anything and would freeze up in two ways in a prolonged conversation of more than thirty seconds.
