Chapter Fourteen: Floor 12 (The Truth about Phoenix/Lost Memories)

After leaving Destiny Islands, Darcey sees Phoenix on the twelfth floor. Jiminy sees Phoenix too, hidden in Darcey's hood. Deciding to leave them some privacy, he quietly observed them from his position. Back with Darcey, despite trying to be happy to have finally found him, there were some questions that needed to be answered. From what she just learnt from the memory of Destiny Islands. Darcey walked up to him but off a few metres from him. Darcey spoke in a sad tone to him "Phoenix! There's something you need to know, it isn't you. The person most special to me----, It's not you...Right?". Phoenix turned his head to look at her and confessed "No. The boy you really care about... The one who was always with you... It's not me. It's him. He's the one who doesn't lead you from the dark side of force, but to the light side of the force." Darcey signed in worry, to her confusion messing with her, she asked him "But then who...who is he? Cuz I can't...think of his name. If he's so special to me, and doesn't lead me to the dark side of the Force, then why can't I remember him? Or who he is to me?"Phoenix decided to be truthful to her and began to explain to her "Here's the truth Darcey because I went into your memories and—". Suddenly, Amanda appeared and interrupted Phoenix's explanation "How about you let ME explain this!" Amanda snapped, catching their attention.

Amanda stormed to them still with her soul eater in her hand and glared at them "Plain and simple. Your memory is a train wreck. Your connection to the Force is interfering, You're not the one who's meant to protect Phoenix. It's supposed to be me! But you and your messed-up memories are always in the way, Darcey!" Darcey gasped as she quickly summoned her keyblade and activated her lightsaber, blocking Amanda's attack as they battle each other one last time. Phoenix was blocked from the forcefield, horrified to see the two girls fight each other. Darcey dodges Amanda's attacks, getting the upper hand against her. Once the battle was over, Amanda is down on the ground exhausted from using her strength against Darcey. Darcey dismissed her weapons to her belt, and comes to her aid for help. Darcey cried to her, once she reached her "Amanda!". However, to her shock Amanda growled "Want some more? FREAK?!" Amanda did an sneak attack as she fired a blast at Darcey, knocking her to the ground. "Aah!" Darcey yelled in pain. Phoenix was shocked what he just witnessed and cried out for her "Darcey!". Amanda had no emotion inside her, but a smirk smile on her face as she walks to Darcey. Whose was still recovering from Amanda's attack on the floor. Darcey begged "Amanda....please." "Looks I finally win against the great and honourable Darcey Skywalker." Phoenix begged Amanda "Amanda, That is enough!". But Amanda ignored him and yelled "You are through! SKYWALKER!". Amanda prepares to strike down Darcey. Jiminy was terrified of what he witnessed, and felt helpless helping Darcey. Unknown to the three, Phoenix starts to panic and something happened unexpectedly "I said ENOUGH!". By the time he yelled, Amanda's head flashes. She stops and falls to the ground, shocking everyone.

But Darcey was speechless, as she starts to get off the floor and cried out to Amanda who laid still on the ground "Amanda....? Amanda! AMANDA!" She looks at Phoenix and asked "Phoenix what did you do? What did you do to her?". Before Phoenix can explain his actions, Larxene appeared through a dark corridor interrupting and surprising the two teenagers. Jiminy watched in shock, as he gaped quietly and glared at Larxene with disgust. Larxene just answered for Phoenix in a bored tone "Broke her heart. I'd say more like he smashed it, really." "Smashed...her heart?! Then...what's gonna... What's gonna happen to Amanda?" Darcey asked in a horrified tones as she got on her feet. Larxene just laughed at her to her own amusement, and mocked "Oh, you're so much fun to watch. If it's Amanda you're worried about, then don't. Because Amanda was never really here." Darcey asked as she glared at Larxene "What do you mean?" "Do you really think I'm just gonna say it? That's too easy! Oh, what to do?" Larxene continued mocking her. Darcey glared at her, summoned her weapons and snapped "Quit the games! I've just had it with you!". She rushed to attack her, but she avoids her attacks and kicks her away in the stomach.
