Department of Justice is where a place where offenders of the law are brought to be judged. It is a place that upholds rules in the community.
After a repeat offender had broken the rules. Their eventually adequately and fairly punished. Then Can be restored to their place: to there job, home and family unit.
If they come back a second time the workers can feel guilty,frustrated or angry realizing they haven't made a impact on their life's.
Rules say that if there a third transgression he simply has to be released.
the Ceremony of Twelve:
the Ceremony of Twelve is the most important ceremony in the community because it is when the adolescent children are given their permanent assignments, which are their individually selected occupations. It is the last ceremony each year and is considered a rite of passage to becoming an adult.
The committee always makes the list in advance and it's right in the office at the nurturing center.
the ceremony for the ones was always fun & noisy. Each December all the newborns in the previous year turned one.
The Entire community attended the ceremony each year. For the parents, It meant a two days holiday from work; they sat together in the huge hall. Children sat with their groups until they went, one by one to the stage.
One at a time their was always fifty in each group. If none had been released. They had brought them to the stage by the nurturers. Some were already walking or wobbly. Than others were only few days old wrapped in blankets being held.
The ceremony goes in row from youngest to oldest.then by the second day it was the twelves turn.
It was a secret selection made by the leaders in the community, the committee of elders.
After the ceremony you be with your assignment group with those in training. No more volunteer hours or recreation hours so your friends will no longer be as close.
Not only that but after the ceremony of Twelve; age isn't important. Most lose track of age. Though the information is in the hall of records & we can go look it up if we they wanted to.
What's important is the preparation for adult life & the training you receive in assignment.
