Concerns

Amelia Narration:

School seemed different today. The classes were normal but during the breaks for recreation periods and midday meal, the other twelves were abuzz with descriptions of their first day of training. Including myself.

All of them talked at once, interrupting each other, hastily making the required apology for interrupting each other, then forgetting again in excitement of describing the new experiences.

As I listened in even bringing up my training once in awhile, I couldn't help but notice Noah not talking, just standing in the corner by himself.

After school hours Noah and I rode our bikes beside each other

"I looked for you yesterday" I said continuing "so we could ride home together, your bike was still there, and I waited for awhile but it was getting late, so I went on home" I sighed

"I apologize for making you wait" replying with "I accept your apology" smiling at him.

"I stayed a little longer than I expected" Noah explained. As I pedaled forward silently I couldn't help but think. I was expecting him to tell me why or describe his first day of training.

But to ask would have fallen into the category of rudeness. So I simply shrugged it off hoping he tell me someday.

"You been doing so many volunteer hours with the Nurturers" Noah said changing the subject but I didn't mind.
"There's won't be much that you don't already know" he said

"Oh there's a lot to learn" I replied smiling explaining about my training

Finally we reached the building and braked our bikes
"I really think I'll like it better than school" I confessed "me too" Noah agreeing with a smile.

I decided to wait a second waiting him to go on. Then looking at my watch waving my hand before turning around.

Noah stood behind for a moment startled, as I waved him goodbye he stood there shocked, but I didn't have time to dwell.
