14. Seeing Stars *

Being back with Ominis was nothing short of pure happiness. Every night I had good dreams about our life and our future that I wished to make a reality.

Sebastian on the other hand wasn't at school. It had been a few weeks and there was no sign of him. It was odd. Since our time in the dormitory I hadn't seen him. Ominis said he wasn't in his room either when he came back and hasn't seen him since. It worried us, but we were too content to let it ruin our mood.

It slowly started to become Winter, the air was cold but snow had yet to fall. Our mid-year exams were just around the corner and so Ominis and I were studying together in the courtyard.

"Isaac Wesley just asked me to be his date for the Yule ball!" Anne interjected suddenly, interrupting our studying. Her face was glowing with excitement.

"Really?" I smiled.

"Yes! He just asked me after Muggle Studies! I can't believe it!" She blushed. The ball was a month away and it seemed like everyone was excited for it. Anne had noticed the absence of her brother, but tried not to let it affect her studies. She had no idea where he was either. She tried looking for him around the castle, she wrote to their Uncle Solomon hoping he would be in Feldcroft, but he wasn't.

I could feel the sadness surrounding her. It was hard for her without Sebastian.

"Isaac is so hot! I can't believe it." I laughed which got a glare from Ominis.

"Hot?" He muttered under his breath.

"I know! I will need to go dress shopping." She went on describing what type of dress she wanted. While I happily listened.

"Anne, I'm happy for you really but could you kindly leave us alone? I have read the same sentence five times in a row." Ominis sighed.

"Don't be so moody Omi!" Anne giggled, poking his shoulder.

"Omi?" He looked horrified at the pet name she gave him.

"When Ominis gets the nerve to ask you to the ball we can go shopping together!" She happily said.

"I would love to!" I smiled.

"I don't need to ask her out, we're already going together." He mumbled.

"It doesn't work like that, better ask her out before Gareth does." She smirked trying to get a response out of him.

"Oh you think he would?" I teased back.

"Yes definitely! We would look so cute with Gryffindor boys on our arms." She giggled.

"You know I can hear every word you're saying right?" He said unassumed by our teasing. "I'm blind, not deaf!"

"Exactly." Anne replied. "Better ask her quickly because oooh I see Gareth walking over now." She convincingly lied.

"What?" Ominis looked up from his book.

We both laughed at his clear jealousy.

"Don't worry Omi he isn't here." She smiled, giving me a hug. "I'll let you two study. I'm going to go talk to Professor Weasley." She frowned. Anne had been talking to her about Sebastian since his disappearance. "Love you both! I'll see you at dinner!" Anne said before leaving.

"I don't understand why Anne keeps meeting with the Professor as if she can find him." Ominis closed his book facing the way she walked.

"He is her brother, she is not going to stop looking for him. They're both stubborn."

"They really are twins." He turned to me. "I can't help but feel he is up to something no good."

"What makes you say that?"
