"Merlin, I'm going to fail." I groaned into my book struggling on my history of magic report. I laid my head on the desk, tapping it against the pages.
"Your not going to fail." Ominis chuckled.
"Easy for you to say." I pout looking at him with my head still on my book. The week flew by and all i had left to turn in for mid term exams was a report on the 14th century wizarding economic bubble. Which I didn't seem to understand.
"You need to write about events leading up to it and the events that resulted after. If you paid attention in class you would have a better understanding on the economics." He ran his wand over the pages he had written prior.
"I don't get how you fall asleep in every class and still understand everything Professor Binns says." I smiled. Lately Ominis and I have been in such a good place, spending all our time studying and sneaking kisses in between classes. While Sebastian has even backed off. Keeping to himself mostly only speaking to us during class when need be. It's been refreshing to spend so much time with Ominis and ace all my exams expect this one.
"Just because I rest my eyes doesn't mean I'm not listening." He playfully said lowering his head to copy me.
I poked his nose and pouted at my inability to write this report. "Not all of us can be as gifted as you."
"Oh so you think I'm gifted?"
"Yes. You never failed a class in your whole time here! Getting perfect O's in every lesson."
"Well to be fair I did get a D for flying."
I laughed "well to be fair you are blind." He rolled his eyes sitting back up giving me a parchment.
"Here's all my notes on the 14th century economic bubble." I happily took it and kissed his cheek.
"Thank you Ominis!" I started to read over them.
"On a another note... have you packed your bags for clagmor?" He said with slight distaste at the thought of seeing his parents.
"Yeah they are packed and ready to go." I dipped my quill in ink ready to finish my report.
"Even if I'm not excited for you to meet my parents. I am excited to spend the holidays with you."
"I am too."
"I was thinking we could stop at Marunweem Lake on the way, pick up some supplies and have a lunch date?" He purposed nervously.
"I would love too! I'll make a list of stuff we should get to survive the two weeks away."
He nodded going back to his school work. This time tomorrow we would be on our way to clagmor and I couldn't wait. I haven't left the castle since I first arrived, only traveling to hogsmead and a few of the neighboring towns.
Growing up in a orphanage I never got to travel and see much of the world. I know my parents moved from Y/City when I was young. Yet that's all I know of where I was born. Just a name and what I read about it in books. Even if clagmor is close by leaving hogwarts for the first time in six years was a whole new experience. One I get to share with Ominis.
After a long time reviewing Ominis notes and with his help I managed to finish my report.
"See I told you, you aren't going to fail." He said as he finished reading the last paragraph.
"It's acceptable right? I should at least pass." I glanced over his shoulder at my messy hand writing.
"It's definitely acceptable, probably even more so." He gave me my report back. The bell tolled ending our study break and I packed up my papers.
