Heading down the block it didn't take me long to make it towards the building and eventually make it up the steps. Once I made it to the elevator I took it up Mom's floor, and unlocked it using the key Kay had given me a long time ago.
As I pushed open the door I heard Mom's voice yelling at someone, and when I closed the door behind me I saw that she was yelling at Dougie who just groaned. "Ma ion know what you want me to do though, like word to I just sat down" He moaned
"Arion Howard I asked you once ,and I'm not abouta ask you again" She said
Turning around she finally saw me and smiled, "How are you doing baby?"
I smiled giving her a hug, and letting out a sigh. "I'm as good as I'll be right now" I told her
She squeezed my shoulder as we pulled away, and drapped her arm around them as we walked deeper inside of the apartment. "You hear anything new?"Dougie asked as I sat next to him
I shook my head, " Nope nothing that those dumbass blogs haven't just regurgitated from each other" I told him as I shook my head
He nodded, " Same shit different day" He muttered
I chuckled, the three of us sat that talking for a little while as we waited for B-Lovee and Setty to arrive for dinner. I'm not sure exactly when, but eventually the two showed up at some point and it became lively as the three cracked jokes, and had fun. I missed this, I missed the fun times but this feeling didn't feel a hundred percent complete, and obviously I knew the reason was Kay's missing presence.
I feel a hand on my shoulder, and when I looked up Mom was standing there giving me a small smile. "He'll be okay Y/N"She said reassuringly.
Nodding my head I let out a sigh, "I just miss him"
"I know baby, I know"
We continued talking, and watching the guys act a fool for a while longer before eventually all of us collectively made our way towards another area of the apartment. I picked up my phone, scrolling through social media sights reading countless 'freeflocka' ,and 'wemissflock' posts which put a smile on my face before the smile was instantly wiped away from my face as I'd read a post from PDL.
At that moment , Mom's phone began ringing we shared a look before she went and answered it. When she returned from the kitchen, we all looked over to her waiting for her to explain her sudden change in facial expression and mood.
"Ma what's good?" Dougie asked sitting up and leaning forward slightly
She let out a shaky breath as she took a seat, and I reached my hand towards her's grabbing it. "You okay?" I asked her
"They released him" She said
We all stood up shocked at the words that just left her mouth, "The fuck we waitin' here for then" Dougie said grabbing his jacket and walking out the door
