< FLASHBACK >

" How is this possible?"

He chuckled, "I stuck my-"

I smacked my hand over his mouth glaring at him, "Niggah be-fucking forreal right now, for like 5 minutes" I said

Smacking his lips he removed my hand from his mouth, and sighed, "Aight so what do you wanna do now that we're here? You know the answer and so do I. "He said leaning against the wall

"It was only supposed to be a one-night and done situation" I said more to myself

Dee chuckled, "Ain't never one night with me babygirl, they always be comin' back" He said

Closing my eyes for a moment, once I opened them back up I glared up at him. "Something's forreal wrong with you bro"

"Am I wrong though?"

I shook my head, "Shut up"

He smirked, "Look we're either gonna become parents or never see each other again. Choice is yours"

I sighed walking up the steps to the building, sometimes I wish they had like one of those little conveyor belts towards the entrance and I know there's handicap parking a little closer but that's not the same.

"Who're you here to see today Ma'am?" The lady behind the counter asked as I picked up the pen

I gave her a small smile, "Um Daniel Collin's , it's a scheduled visitation for 12" I said to her

She nodded her head , and I heard the clacking of the keyboard as she didn't say anything back. After a little while I heard a buzz, and she looked up from the computer. "Alright you've been here before it seems like so just go through those doors, and you know the rest" She smiled

I nodded, "Thank you"

Walking towards the door, and heading down the oh so familiar hallways I'd eventually made it to the common area. I waited for probably around 2-3 minutes before the doors opened , and I followed the guard to the booth.

After another moment or so the doors opened , and after slamming shut it didn't take long after Daniel was sitting in front of me a smile on his face as we both picked up the phones on either side of the glass. "Ayeeee it's my babygirl" He said happily

I smiled, "Hey Dee"

He smacked his lips, "Yo bro I ain't seen you in two weeks , and all I get is a dry ass Hey Dee bro"

"Boy I said hello ain't I?"

Mugging me he rolled his eyes before he replaced it with a smile once again, "So how you been?What's new with the baby?" He asked excitedly

Staring at him for a minute in silence I didn't even realize that tears had been quietly betraying me , as I'd promised myself before coming that I wouldn't cry or get emotional because I didn't need him to worry I needed to be okay. "Aye, aye, aye Y/N  what's wrong ? You good ? The baby good? Yo guard!" He began panicking

I shook my head as I wiped the tears away,  "Dee! Dee! I'm fine it's just the hormones" I said attempting to calm him down

Looking from me to the guard behind me, I nodded my head at him offering a small smile. "I'm fine" I told him

Although he didn't look like he'd believed me, he'd sat back down and motioned for the guard to go away. "Babygirl why you got upset?" He asked trying to search my eyes for the answer

I let out a little sigh, "I just-it's just hormones" I repeated

Dee smacked his lips, "No it ain't them tears are real , and they mean somethin' so tell me what they really mean"

Looking down at my hands, and then back up at him once again I sighed, "I just-I miss you Dee, and I hate that you're missing out on all of this stuff"

The moment the words left my mouth I could see his shoulders drop, as he stared at me with apologetic eyes. "I'm sorry" , was all he'd sat after a moment of silence between the two of us had fallen in the space.

"It's okay Dee, I mean I knew who I was dealing with before I signed the become a parent slip" I said jokingly

Dee chuckled, "Aye we both signed that slip"

I nodded smiling slightly, "That we did" I said as I placed a hand on my stomach rubbing it

His eyes adverted themselves to the little bump that had grown since the last time I'd seen him in person which was over a month ago. Chuckling slightly I stood up moving my jacket back so he could see, "Doctor says I'm 2 months now" I told him

When I looked up from my stomach to Dee, I could see the smile on his face as he stared in awe but at the same time the sadness , and how sorry he was in his eyes. "You be feelin' anything?" He asked

I shrugged, as I'd sat down. "From time to time, I sometimes think I felt the baby kick or move around" I chuckled recanting the times

Dee nodded his head, "Y'know we havin' a boy right" He said leaning back a little

I chuckled, "And why in the world do you think that?" I asked him

He smacked his teeth, as he sat up and pointed at me. Confused I looked to where he was pointing , before looking back at him. "What?" I asked

He sighed, "Stand up one more time, and turn around" He instructed

Shaking my head at him, I stood up at did as he was told. "Now what?" I asked

Dee nodded his head, "Y'know yo ass always been big, but word to it got bigger since you been pregnant" He said smuggly

I smacked my lips sitting down, "Boy get outta here, you just used that as an excuse to see my ass"

This made him laugh, "Aye I had to see it somehow"

I rolled my eyes, "You're ridiculous"

He smiled, "Y/N I'm sorry for all this, it wasn't supposed to be like this" He said as he sighed

I placed my hand on the glass, and he placed his on the same spot on his side. "Dee I'll be alright, and we'll be there at the sentencing"I told him

"Alright visitations over"One of the guard said as he came up behind Dee

He smacked his lips, as he looked from the guard back to me. "I love you y'know that right" He said

I smiled nodding my head, "And I love you too Dee"
