Natasha wiped the raindrops off her face, the streets of downtown New York foggy and grey.
"Perfect weather for me," she grumbled.
Natasha felt drops of rain littering her hair; soaking it strand by strand.
"Where oh where is Rogers?" Natasha muttered to herself as she sat down in a dinner. Steve promised to meet her after a quick jog, saying that he was getting chubby. Natasha responded with a poke to his stomach.
The redhead broke out of her trance when she saw familiar blond hair show itself.
Natasha waved her arms wildly, trying to get his attention.
Steve noticed her and sat across from her in their booth.
Grabbing both wrists, he held her hands down.
"You're no fun Rogers," Natasha pouted.
"Says you. You're a shameless flirt."
"Nice comeback." Natasha patted his hand lightly.
Steve suddenly blushed and ran his hand through his hair nervously.
Natasha noticed this and squeezed his right hand tightly. "Everything alright Steve?"
He answered her back with newfound courage.
"Would you like to go on a date with me Natasha?" Steve exhaled silently, waiting for her response.
"Sure, I'll gladly go on a official date with you. Just one question, when and where?"
Steve suppressed a chuckle,"that's two questions Nat."
"Just tell me."
"Alright, it's the day after Tony's party, which is tomorrow, and it's a surprise where I'm taking you."
Natasha laughed devilishly, a small smile could be seen if looked at closely."I love surprises."
"Good, because it will be the night of our lives."
Natasha gave another laugh,"only if we don't get hangovers first."
