A/N: #YearTwoChristmasChapter
____________________________
Natasha was quite surprised when Steve showed up carry a very large tree inside their shared apartment. She had told him to leave it outside, but he insisted that it was needed for Christmas.
Next he showed up with two ugly sweaters with their names engraved on both the front and the back, and told her to wear it around the house. Natasha only went along with it because he's been so adorable when explaining why.
To Natasha, Christmas was that holiday for her that came and went, where she bought only the most minimal gifts ever.
But Steve was a special case. He'd been a great help to her, with his unyielding loyalty and patience. He had been so kind, so gracious. Natasha couldn't just get him a box of chocolates or a scarf, that would be to rude.
So she set out to find the perfect gift for Steve, which was harder then she thought.
He didn't really like jewelry, and she was sure he didn't want another gun or outfit made of Kevlar.
Natasha had pondered for a good long while, before she remembered an incident that happened only a few months ago.
She had been laying down on her bed when the creak in the door made her crack one eye open. Steve had come in with a sketch book and charcoal pencils. Closing her eye, she let him draw her and didn't move until she heard the creak in the door once more. From her small glance at both the sketch book and pencils, Natasha could tell they were both old and used.
Art supplies were what he needed.
Hurrying to the nearest art department, she grabbed what she needed and ran back to the apartment to wrap it before Steve arrived. December 24th is only tomorrow after all.
