Milena's granddaughter has made it back to Romania. Thought it would take longer for her to move here but I guess she couldn't help it.
Milena died five months ago, but as Milena was who she was, she had doubts about reaching out to Brooke.
Her son warned her years ago to stay away and to not contact her, but Milena couldn't help it. With her illness, she felt it was only right to reach out. She felt a special connection to Brooke. Saw her beauty but also that fact that she is her first granddaughter and the first daughter of the Dragomir bloodline.
And here I am standing here, looking into her eyes. Watching her and seeing her, Milena is right. She's fucking beautiful. True Romanian beauty.
She turns away and leaves. I smirk a bit and I turn on my heel. I head inside and I head to the fireplace in my living room, I light it up. I take off my coat and I let the fire warm up the house.
I smirk to myself again as I think about how her eyes met mine. The way she immediately couldn't look away, I could see how intrigued she was.
Or is.
Maybe it's time I finally meet her, the right way.

After the awkward eye encounter with Mr. Neighbor, I head to the garden. I need some fresh air after reading my birth certificate and that letter. I know I wanted answers but part of me feels like this might be too much for me to take in now. I put on my heels and I head out the door to the garden. I close the door behind me and I felt the cool air rub against my skin.
I was wearing my long trench coat of course and I had a sweater with pants underneath. I was warm enough.
I walk around and I admire the trees along with the flowers. I smile as I see it. So beautiful. I start to walk down a path leading far away, it had high trees to the side towering over me but I kept my focus ahead until I go to a circle. I see a statue in the middle, I go up to it. I look closely and it's an angel. A sweet angel, I admire it and I see engravings at the bottom.
Frumusețea se află în interior
What does that mean?
"It means "beauty lies within" in Romanian" I hear a voice.
I turn to the side and I see the same eyes I saw earlier. My neighbor.
How did he even get in here?
"How did you get in...?" I ask a bit concerned.
He smirks and steps a bit closer. "I was close to your grandmother, I have a key".
I nod. "Oh... well. I might need that key back".
He looks at me for a moment. He nods and reaches into his pocket. He brings his hand out and I see the key in his hand.
I step closer and I reach for it. As I stare at his hand, it feels familiar. Why is it familiar?
I grab the key from his palm and I take it. "Thank you".
He nods. "Of course, it is your home now after all. So whatever you wish is up to you".
I look away and I look at the engravings.
"So you don't speak Romanian?" He asks.
I shake my head. "Well to be fair, I didn't even know I was Romanian until a few days ago. This all... happened really fast to be honest".
He nods. "I was surprised you just came, Milena died 5 months ago. Thought you would've been here earlier or at least later".
It's been 5 months and I just got that letter. Why did it reach so late? That's something I have to talk to Mr. Arias about.
"Well I just found out about Milena so... I don't know. But I'm glad I'm here now, getting to know the family that I didn't even know I had or have" I say.
Why am I telling him all of this? I hardly know him, but it feels so easy to tell him.
"But quick question.. can you describe my grandmother? Since you were so close to her to have a key. How was she? What did she do to have all of this?" I ask.
He chuckles a bit and he sits down on the nearby bench. He looks at me and I stay standing.
He looks away for a moment and takes a deep breath. "Well... Milena Dragomir was fearless, strong, determined, intelligent and just... a force. I won't say what she did, that's not my place... but I'm sure she left something behind to tell you. But what I can say is that, she treasured her family and her responsibilities. She was there for you and she never made you feel like an outsider. That is why she was loved by many. Her work.... was what made her also different to the others. In the end she was the kind woman but with everything else, she had to make changes to her life. It was just her nature.
But she was amazing. If you ever want to visit her grave, I will take you. I know you never had the opportunity to say bye, and that is something she would have wanted before she passed. But... it never happened".
I nod as I listen to him. She sounded amazing. This is all I can hold onto, and I will hold onto it. Hearing him speak about Milena showed me why she was close to him. His words and the empathy in his voice showed how much he cared for my grandmother. Almost as if she treated him like a son.
I smile and I step closer to him.
I put my hand out and he looks at it for a second. He stands up slowly and I look up at him slightly. He takes my hand and shakes it.
"I may not know you, but I'm willing to get to know you..... and you are..?" I ask.
He says coldly. "Sin".
"Sin Constantin".
Short chapter but finally we met Sin. How do we feel about him? Do we prefer him or Andrei? Let me know. Don't forget to comment and vote!
