I spent the whole day with my mother. She took me to all my favorite spots I loved as a kid. We wanted to relive memories and enjoy each other for the time now.
I walk into my hotel room as I was now back in Pennsylvania. I check my phone and I see a text from Andrei.
Andrei: Loved seeing you again. See you soon x.
I smiled and I sent one back.
See you soon. Next time we are getting ice cream.
I put my phone down and I start packing everything together. On my last night in Seattle, I bought a ticket for Romania. I leave in two days, which gives me enough time to quit, say goodbye to Luisa, gather my things, and get there in time as my stuff should get there to Romania.
I spent two hours packing and I check the time. It's not too late. I quickly get dressed into my blouse and pants. I leave my hair down and I grab my purse.
Along with my letter.
I leave and I drive to my job. It takes an hour but I get there. I walk into the building and I head to my floor. I get off the elevator and I walk in. I see everyone look at me.
I head to my office and I grab a box. I start putting my stuff in there and I see a picture of me with Damon. We are smiling and look happy. In this moment we were happy and it was amazing.
But reality kicked in.
And it's all gone. I dump the picture into the box and I hear my door open. I look up and I see Luisa.
"Now can you explain what's going on?" She asks.
I sighed and I nod.
She sits down and I sit down as well. "Damon cheated on me".
She gasp and she stands up. "Are you fucking kidding me?! That fucking asshole!".
I nod. "I know, I felt angry and I had my fair share of anger. After I left and cleaned my stuff out, I got a letter from my late grandmother saying that after she passed, she left an estate for me in Romania. That she wants me to learn more about my family, my father's family".
She looked shocked by my words. "Romania?".
I nod and I chuckle.
"You aren't the first to react that way. Andrei reacted the same way".
She smiles and winks at me. "Oooo who is Andrei?".
I laugh. "Just a childhood friend, who I had sex with the other night for the first time..".
Her eyes goes wide and she jumps up excited. "Yess!!! Revenge sex we love it".
I shake my head. "No, it wasn't revenge sex, I just... needed it. I know I told you the other day that my date with Damon was ok but it wasn't. Before Andrei, we didn't have sex for 6 weeks. I know it's not the end of the world but I needed the intimacy but knowing now, I know why he didn't need me anymore".
