"So this event is important, there can be no mistakes. Everyone has to keep their cool and remain focused. Any sign is a hint and it's important to catch everything and anything" Sin informs us and my cousins.
My father thought it was best to involve the family, get everyone together on this. Even my younger cousin that lives in America came. She wanted to be involved even though her brothers were against it but she's smart and her intelligence is useful. We haven't had the chance to really talk but she seemed a bit hesitant about accepting me into the family.
She's not the only one who hasn't been really accepting of my arrival. Apparently to them, I'm the one Melina has always favored. Even though I have never met Melina before, so I don't understand why my presence is a threat to them.
"So, what exactly are we looking for?" Mioara spoke up cutting through the silence that filled the room. Sin looked at her and spoke. "Any hint, we need Damon to fess up to this. We know that this is his doing. He basically admitted it at court. We just need him to choke up and give us this so we can find Melina."
She sighs. "What if he doesn't give it to us? Like you said he is a guy who likes to push buttons, play around. Wouldn't the easy solution be, is to kill him or torture him?".
"Then you're right, we act. But only decisively, swiftly. We must make no mistakes" Sin informed all of us.
Octavin spoke up. "This is crazy, actual madness. You are going on a feeling that Melina may be alive. What if you're wrong? What if she isn't?".
My father spoke up. "She's alive. My mother may have gotten into this mess but she has never been stupid to not figure a way out of this or even help us figure this out. You all should expect more from her, she is your grandmother".
Octavin went quiet and so did the others. "Well she never really cared for us if we can be honest, she was barely a grandmother to me. But now I can see why" Mioara spoke up, shooting her glares to me.
"That's enough.." Sin interrupted.
I sighed as I couldn't take the blame anymore. I spoke up to forget this nonsense. "So this event, what exactly is it? A gala? Private dinner? A party?".
Sin looked at me. "A party. It will have his old alliances and even some new ones. We will be going in and pretending to be some of the new alliances. Mioara will help us get in. But we all have to play our cards, play it wisely".
I nod.
Sin dismissed the meeting and I walked out. As I walking back to my room, I hear a voice stop me.
"You think that when we find Melina, she will treat you different. See you as her prized possession still? Who knows maybe you are just a pawn in all of this" Mioara questioned.
