Beverly's POV

The app on my phone beeps as I follow the directions given to me by Darcy last night. After I ended the call, telling her I would help out, she sent me the address for a small compound where they are mentoring Wanda. Apparently, she has created a world inside a dimension where she lives in a sitcom. She sees Vision, her two kids, and Pietro. After hearing that, I wanted to leave straight away. But, Bucky told me that I would be sleep deprived when I arrive and would be no help. So, we went to bed and after breakfast, I drove to the location.

Now, I've pulled up to the building, parking my car in the empty parking lot. I rush out of my car and into the building, seeing that it is as empty as the outside. There are no people inside working or telling me where to go. So, I'm stuck in the lobby. But, on the front desk is a piece of paper, small handwriting in black.

𝘉𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘺 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘬,

𝘍𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘣, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘶𝘴. 𝘚𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘺 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘸.

𝘋𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘺 𝘓𝘦𝘸𝘪𝘴.

On the walls of the building are a few metal signs, written on them are the directions of different rooms. In the middle of the sign are the directions to the lab, and I run to follow them. My feet can't move fast enough to the double doors at the end of the hallway, but when I do make it, I push the doors open and the once-silent building is full of hard-working and busy people. Some are in suits with pants and skirts, and others are in tactical gear. I stand awkwardly, watching the hustle and bustle of the room. Someone sees me and rushes over to stand in front of me.

"Hi," She extends her hand. "I'm Darcy Lewis."

She has her long black hair tucked under a grey beanie, glasses perched on the end of her nose, and red-painted lips. Her pale skin and dark hair contrast with her wide smile, but underneath it, I can see her worry and concern. I shake her hand briefly before she turns around and points to other workers, telling me their names.

"And this is Agent Monica Rambeau of S.W.O.R.D and FBI Agent Jimmy Woo, they are here to help me."

"It's nice to meet you." I nod my head at them.

"Thank you so much for helping us, we are at a dead end here." Jimmy smiles.

"I need to do this for Wanda."

Jimmy and Monica turn to face a small laptop screen, displaying the sitcom they talked about. I can see a bird's eye view of Westview Town, but it is stuck in the 50s. Wanda, with her hair pinned up and an old-fashioned dress, stands next to Vision and with two boys standing in front of her. I watch as she talks to another woman, her hair brown and curly. But, I can see anger bubbling up in Wanda, her hands curling at her side, trying to push back her powers. If she isn't careful, she can turn in The Scarlett Witch.

"Oh god, you have to get me in there." I panic. "She's going to turn into The Scarlett Witch."

"We should wait." A man from across the room shouts. "It's too dangerous."

"But, she is here to help us, Director." Darcy defends.

"Look," I turn around to face him. "I know you are the leader here, but I don't care if it is dangerous. I need to help her."

"No, you need to help the citizens of Westview." He takes a step forward.

"And by helping Wanda I will be helping them."

He groans as he rolls his eyes at me, but I don't care. I'm not here to please him. And, it's not like I like him either. He reminds me of Alexander Pierce, with his demanding demeanour and ego. I could either be scared of the reminder or want to punch him in the face. I choose neither and turn around to face Darcy again.

"You have to get me in there, we are wasting time." I plead.

"Okay," She turns to face Jimmy and Monica.

They all click a few buttons and whirling sounds run through the room. I watch the large screen in the centre of the room switch from written plans and pictures to the video of Wanda in her sitcom. She is slowly leaving Vision and her children behind to stalk towards the other women, her dress and hair fizzling out and turning into her Scarlett Witch outfit. Her once flowy dress turns into a skin-tight, leather fighting outfit and her hair bounces around her face, voluminous and wavy. I panic as I see the clearly huge situation quickly turning into a bigger problem.

"We are ready for you, Beverly," Darcy calls out.

Turning around from the monitor, I see that they have turned on a dimension for me to walk through. The machine around it is circular and huge, holding the dimension open for me. It's red and blurry, the middle of it showing the other side. Darcy looks at me with concern as she holds a table in her hand, watching my every move. I take a deep breath, preparing myself for whatever is going to happen. But, I don't know what is going to happen. I don't even know what I'm going to do or say to Wanda. I don't know if she will even listen to me. She has lost so much and this dimension was created because she wanted to see her lost loved ones again. How can I convince her to leave them behind? If I was in her position and lost Bucky, there would be nothing you could say to convince me to leave him. So, how am I supposed to do this? What am I supposed to do?

Either way, I take a step into the dimension, watching as my foot blur through the entrance. My black boot turns into a red flat shoe and my black tactical pants fade into clear tights. My eyes widen at the sight, but I keep moving. I feel a buzzing feeling going through my body as I switch to match the sitcom. It almost makes me feel sick.

But, I keep walking until the dimension closes up behind me, leaving me in the other world.
