Beverly's POV

My clothes turned from my combat boots, tactical pants, and bulletproof vest to red pumps, clear tights, and a flowy blood-red dress. The world around me looks like the isolated town I saw when I drove into the compound but with more life, colour and emotion. There are people running over to a specific place in the town, their attention solely on whatever is going on over there. I can hazard a guess as to what is happening. But, if I am correct, then why are people going over there? It is dangerous.

Either way, I know that I need to stop this before it gets out of hand, so, I run over to the crowd and push through them. Shoving my way through the people, with them groaning and complaining, I finally get to the front of the group. When I do, I see Wanda, slowly rising off the floor, her hands open and pushing her upwards. The brown-haired woman faces her, an evil smirk on her face. Vision and the two children stand back with fear written all over their faces. The two women fight with their powers, their skilled hands battling with each other. As they fight, I begin pushing the citizens away from the two women, getting them to safety. They all protest, clearly wanting to watch the scene, but I keep telling them how much danger they are putting themselves in. Finally, the streets are clean with all of the people rushed into their homes and safe.

"Wanda!" I shout.

She turns her head, looking at me. A wide smile and a shocked look are displayed on her face, but she continues fighting. The other woman slowly falls to the floor as Wanda pushes her to the ground with her powers. She crumbles under the pressure, a huge red explosion happening around her. Wanda glides to the floor gracefully, standing next to the other woman when the explosion fizzles out, showing her in the fetal position. Her once-purple combat outfit has turned back into a 50s housewife dress, and her hair is pushed back into a tight bun. Wanda says something to her and the woman walks off, towards one of the homes. I stand waiting for Wanda to walk over to me.

"Beverly! What are you doing here?" She pulls me into a hug.

"I'm here to help you." I reciprocate.

"Help me?"

"Yes, help you with all of this, sweetie." I flay my arms about. "This isn't good, Wanda."

"But, this is my happiness." She defends. "I can see Vision, my kids, and my brother."

"I know, Wanda, I know." I brush her hair behind her ear. "But this is dangerous. All of these people are here against their will. They have their own lives outside of all of this. You can't keep them here."

"I know, it's just, I can see them. I can be with them again."

"Believe me, If I could create the perfect world with Bucky and have my own children where we both didn't do anything wrong, I would. But I can't. Because it's not real, honey." I stroke her cheek. "I'm so sorry that all of this happened to you, but you have to live with the fact that they are gone now. You still have people who love and support you. You will always have me."

"It hurts, Bev." She cries. "I'll never be able to see them again."

"You've experienced some of the worst pain imaginable and I feel for you. But you can't bring them back, trust me."

"But, some of them came back for you."

"Not all of them." I frown. "I took away their lives and I have to live with that fact for the rest of my life."

"I just don't know if I can do it." She pulls me into a hug.

"Yes, you can." I hug her back. "You are one of the strongest people I know. But, it's not just that you can do it, it's that you have to. These people don't deserve to be trapped in this world."

"I know." She whispers against my chest. "But I need to say goodbye first."

"Of course, honey." I kiss the crown of her head. "I'll be waiting back at the compound for you."

"Thank you, Bev." She pulls from the hug.

"I'll always be here to help you, Wanda."

Wanda walks across the town and into a large house, surrounded by moss and bushes. I watch as she opens the door and walks inside, the town going silent. Back at the compound, they must have been watching the entire thing, because a dimension opens up behind me, showing the other location on the other side. But, it isn't the inside of the compound, like I expected, instead what looks like the parking lot outside. I can see the car I borrowed from Zemo's house sitting at the front of the building. I'm confused, but I don't care. I walk through the dimension, and it closes up behind me. Trapping Wanda inside the world and me out of it. My 50-styled clothing turns back into my tactical gear and feels comfortable against my skin. I feel down my clothes, happy to be out of the dimension, but still worried for Wanda.

I just hope that she does the right thing.
