You hadn't seen Peter since Friday night when he kissed you. You really hoped that he didn't remember anything.

"Morning!" You smiled as you walked in the door.

"Hey!" Peter said.

He was standing in front of the stove making eggs while Jason was sitting at the table reading a newspaper.

"Morning, Roxy!"

"You're cooking?"

"I am. I thought I'd help you out."

"Well, I appreciate it."

After giving Jason his meds, and eating breakfast, you started cleaning up the kitchen. Jason went outside to read and Peter helped you clean.

"I'm sorry about the other night." He said. "I shouldn't have called you."

"It's okay."

"I didn't do anything embarrassing, did I?"

"Uh, no. Nothing."

"Thank God."

You waited a few minutes before speaking up again.

"Who's Gamora?"

"What?"

"The other night, you called me Gamora."

"Oh. Uh, she was my girlfriend."

"What happened?"

"She sorta forgot about me."

"Like amnesia?"

"To put it simply, yeah. Like amnesia."

"I'm sorry."

"It's alright. It's been 2 years."

"You still in love with her?"

"No. But, I still love her."

"What's the difference?"

"Even though I'm not in love with her anymore, she's still my family. I'll always love her like family."

"That's really sweet."

"Great. Now you've got me acting all cheesy."

You laughed and continued cleaning the kitchen. The two of you sat in silence for a little while until he asked a question.

"So, I was thinking, since things have changed around here, I could get someone to show me around."

"That's a great idea! Who are you gonna ask?"

He didn't say anything. He just looked at you and smiled.

"Me?"

"Please? I don't know anyone else here?"

"Okay, I'll do it."

"Yes!"

"On one condition."

"What?"

"Don't ever call me in the middle of the night again. Unless it's an emergency."

"What if I'm drunk?"

"Learn how to call an Uber."

You waited until after lunch to take him out. Jason had just finished his chemo and was resting, so it was the perfect time.
