You were putting away groceries in the kitchen when you heard sneezing coming from outside.

"What's that noise?"

"Probably Pete."

"What?"

"Go out and see."

You put away the last of the groceries and headed outside.

"What are you doing?" You asked as you walked into the garage.

"Fixing up my grandpa's old Mustang."

The car was at least 25 years old. It was red and had a white stripe down the middle. He was underneath the car fixing something as he talked to you.

"You can't even drive."

"I'm working on it."

"I heard you sneezing. You okay?"

"Yeah. It's probably just all this dust in here." He slid out from under the car and wiped his hands on his tank top. "Can you hand me that lug?"

"Uh..."

"The one that looks like an X."

"Oh."

You picked up the tool and handed it to him.

"Thanks."

He started working on the tires, which caused his arms and shoulders to flex with every move he made.

"You gonna just stand there and stare?"

"I wasn't staring."

"You kinda were."

"You wish."

"A guy can dream, can't he?"

You rolled your eyes and went back inside.

Riley and Peter were working on the car while you were in the kitchen making dinner. Jason set down his book and looked up at you.

"Don't tell him I told you this, but, I think he's got a little crush on you."

You laughed and put the food on the plates.

"What gave it away?"

"I think you two would be a lovely couple."

"I don't think so."

"Why not?"

"He just came back, and he's vulnerable. I think he's just lonely."

"Trust me. That boy is head over heels for you."

After dinner, you gave Jason his meds and cleaned up the kitchen. Riley was helping you put dishes away when you heard loud coughing.

"You okay, Mr. Quill?"

"That was me!" Peter called out as he walked into the room.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm-" He was interrupted by a string of sneezes. "I'm fine."

You wiped your hands and placed your palm on his forehead.

"You're hot."
