"Hey, love, wake up," I softly mumble to Artemis who's sleeping. She grumbles a little but opened her eyes soon. "The wedding reception will star soon."
They moved the program to six in the evening so that the guest can take some rest before celebrating the newlyweds.
She hummed. "Are you going to sing?" she suddenly asked.
"No but I'll play an instrument for the newlyweds' first dance." I caressed her hair gently. The room is dim, the only light source is coming from the lights outside the house.
She looked up at me. "What instrument?"
"I don't know. Anything available."
"Hmm, a saxophone?" I looked at her, intrigued. "I want to watch and hear you play a saxophone."
"Sure, kung meron sila." Ngumiti siya ng matamis. I held her face and tapped it softly. "Now, get up and change your clothes." Hindi pa kasi siya nakakapagpalit ng damit simula kaninang natapos ang kasal. Ako naman ay nakapagpalit na after magising a few moments ago into a simple and comfortable high-waisted jeans, a crop-topped with a halter neckline top, and a strap flat sandal.
I gave her some privacy for her to change her clothes. After a few minutes, she came out of the room wearing a white wrap jumpsuit. The bottom part is like a wide-leg pants with a slit showing some part of her legs while the top part has a V-neck neckline and a thin strap showing off her sexy collarbones.
"You are absolutely gorgeous," I complimented her.
She gave me a sheepish smile. "Really?"
I nodded and stepped closer to her to whisper, "I can say that you may or may not outshine the bride's beauty," with all my heart.
She bit her bottom lip, her cheeks flushing red. "Hindi ako naniniwala."
I stepped back with my eyebrows furrowed and stared at her face. "Why not?" She gave me a shrug. I sighed as I held her hands, keeping them on her sides. "Mon amour, if I can give you my eyes, I will, so that you can see how I see you. I wish you can see my point of view of you – of how beautiful you are, inside and out." My thumbs subconsciously caressed her hands. "So, believe me when I say that you are beautiful. Remember when my dad said that my eyes is a good judge and never lies?" She nodded. I smiled, encouraging her. "You are beautiful, okay?"
She inhaled before nodding. "Thank you."
I hugged her. "I am good for your ego. So, keep me, okay?" I playfully said making her smile, and that made me feel relieved.
"I'll keep you forever," she said with finality in her voice.
"Always, I'll keep you too." We shared a quick kiss before going out of the house.
People are outside, anticipating the flow of the program, only Artemis and I are left alone inside the house. Guests are seated on their designated seats, while the extra guests are contently standing to watch. Tita Este is also on one of the seats, waiting for the emcee to call the newlyweds.
As I sat beside my girlfriend at the table where her family is seated too, the emcee announced the arrival of Tita Letitia with Luna with some of their bodyguards. Everyone turned their heads to see her and clapped to acknowledge her.
Tita Letitia sat together with us after she spoke in front apologizing for not being able to go to the wedding ceremony because of some duty in the municipal hall.
"Ang ganda niyo naman!" Luna sat beside me, looking at my girlfriend and me.
"Mas maganda ako, Ate Luna!" Sapphire said making us chuckle.
