"So, uh... why exactly am I moving into a different cell? Isn't the dilapidated and miserable one you guys gave me good enough?" She asked the boy with glasses. Currently, they were moving through the endless halls of the hideout, her cuffs clasped tightly around her wrists.
"Hm? Feel like talking today, do you?" He asked as she scoffed, looking away, "Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to answer. The movement of cells is because of what Shiro is working on next. I know you're rather weary of the boy, but we're doing all we can to keep you... Decently safe. This movement is just a safety procaution."
"Gee, thank you so much, I've hardly met kinder people..." Fei deadpanned, staring at her cuffs.
'Ugh, it feels so easy to just go into my water form and race out of here. But I gotta be smart about this. They know how to counter it, and I have no idea what other moves this guy knows. With his knowledge in medical ninjutsu, he could just leave me paralyzed, and I'd fair even worse if something were to happen. If I made a break for it now, he might just kill me instantly, regardless of whatever use I have in this experiment.' Fei frowned, tightening her fists, 'I just have to wait a little longer...'
"Here," she entered the room, finding a vast space empty of most things except for an observing room and a hovering cage, suspended by two thick chains. The cage appeared to have thick glass around it, providing a barrier for whatever impact could come from the outside. Still, the chain supports didn't look like they would stop the sway of an impact. Likely, the cage would rock back and forth.
"Oh, you're kidding..." Fei meeked out as she looked at the cage, "You guys want me to be in there?!"
"Yes, it'll likely be safer than on the ground. This phase of his connection is highly unstable and unpredictable. Keeping you away from the ground will at least give him a challenge," Kabuto then grinned at her, "But I'm sure he's not gonna rough up his favorite toy too much, don't you think?"
"I don't like you... Not one bit..." Fei bit back before looking at the cage, "Just get me in there and start whatever nonsense this is..."
The boy lowered and opened the cage for Fei to step inside. She had to kneel in order to comfortably fit as she grabbed the inner bars. Slowly, she felt herself being lifted towards the center of the room, where she waited.
"As I said, you'll likely be fine up there. It's possible he'll focus on things other than you, such as destroying walls or bouncy off them. But just prepare for the worst."
"And what exactly are you guys doing with him?" Fei asked, looking at the boy enter the observation room.
"...I'll expand on that later. He's ready." The boy vanished into the room, leaving Fei and the dimly lit room alone. Slowly, the doors to a different area opened, along with the dangling of chains. Fei gulped as she tried to steady her breathing, clasping her chest as she closed her eyes. listening.
The chains continued to pull forward before the sudden sound of heavy metal hitting the floor resonated throughout the room. Fei continued to listen, no longer hearing metal scrape against the ground. Instead, it was completely silent. She began to slowly open her eyes, only to see a pair of yellow ones stare right back from the floor in front of her.
They were odd this time around. There were no hints of red nor hints of white at the center. This time, they seemed unfocused and distant, completely black, resembling more of a clueless dog than anything. But besides the eyes, he had transformed a bit, red scales on his cheeks and arms. He also had small horns petruding from his forehead and a tail: long and scaley with a heated blade at the very tip. Threatening, yet passive.
