Fei had found him, sitting under a tree in a secluded wooded area near the village. She approached, carefully but obviously enough for him to realize. He scowled at her before trying to get up.

"Wait! Please..." Fei asked, gently. She had pondered how to approach him, considering just how foul of a mood he was in, so she went for sincere and gentle, "I just wanna talk. Like we usually do..."

"I have nothing to say to you. Just leave me alone. It's not your problem." He said, sitting back down. Something about her gentle deamenor always had him sit.
He didn't quite understand why: he just always assumed it was a quirk from her other world.

"Maybe so, but you're not only my teammate, Sasuke. You're someone I'm close to now. I want only the best for you. And I hate seeing you suffer like this," she said before stepping a little closer, "I've got some things to say to you, will you let me?"

He didn't answer, instead glaring at the tree trunk he was sitting on. She took that as a sort of agreement to at least listen, so she spoke.

"I know you're hurting, Sasuke. I really do. And while I don't understand what it's like to lose the entirety of my family, I know what it feels like to never be able to see them again, and to dread and live with the constant reminder tbat... they're gone. I also know the type of hate you feel in your heart right now. To take revenge on those who hurt you, who want to hurt you more," she thought about Shiro, "But Sasuke... I'm not revolving my whole life around that. He's a goal, but I don't want to center my existence on him. I know the value I want to put on my life. And it's not for him. I've got better things to fight for, and killing him... it's just not an option. Neither should it be yours. I see the value of your life, even if you don't. And this vengence... that value is far too low."

"Are you suggesting I live for something else? Are you saying I stop seeking to kill him? Is that it?" He asked, glaring at her.

"I'm not entirely vocalizing it, but yes. I think you should try to live for something else. I for one... I want to live for the family I have, for the people I love, and for the people who love me. And the people who I love include you and the entirety of Team 7. If something were to happen to you guys..." she shook her head, "I know you had precious people in your past, and that's why you have this goal. But, tell me, do you really not have anyone precious to you now. I know the answer, Sasuke, but I want you to ruminate on it."

He didn't answer. Instead, his glare withered into a soft and thoughtful expression. He thought of his teammates, all of them. He had always wanted to protect them, he's done it before without even thinking.

"Sasuke, I know that you have better things to live for. I'm not saying to turn the other cheek towards your brother, but you don't have to live by his rules, his words. You don't need hate to become stronger. That bond between you and Naruto... I think that if you gave it a chance, you'd become stronger than you may realize."

"I want to protect you all. And I know you wish the same. So please... just think about what I said, 'kay?" She gave a weak salut and a smile before jumping off, leaving the boy to think. Both hadn't realized that during their discussion, they were being watched.

"So that's the girl we're supposed to bring in, too?" Sakon observed, looking at her jump off.

"I suppose so. She doesn't look like anything special," Kidoumaru added.

"That's the point, jackasses. She's supposed to be the pretty little toy for that Shiro kid. He's powerless without her." Tayuya explained, sneering at her comrades, "Like some lameass who needs their crush's attention, weakling."

"Tayuya, stop talking like that. It's not for girls." Jiroubou muttered before looking at her, "You act as if he didn't take the four of us down when we toyed with him at first. The only one who took him down with ease was Kimimaro. There's a reason he's still around, you know."
