°And to the fella over there with the hella good hair.Won't you come on over, baby? We can shake, shake, shake°
Diana woke up because of a weird sound. She opened her eyes only to see Lia trying to gather all the clothes she had accidentally thrown on the floor.
"I'm sorry, I'll take care of it," she said with a smile. She always smiles.
Diana got up and helped her. She wasn't mad. It was time for her to wake up anyway. She saw the clock on the wall. It was midday already
She went to the kitchen of the apartment and filled her cup with some coffee. She actually needed to drink a whole barrel of coffee, but she would settle for a cup.
"Diana, did you wake up?" asked Juliette.
"Yes, wait for me. I've got to serve some breakfast as well," she replied.
Her best friends had already bought some things from the nearby bakery. She saw the chocolate muffins, and she immediately grabbed two of those. She then walked to the balcony where Juliette and Lia were sitting. She sat next to them and took a sip of her coffee.
"I love this place," Lia said.
"I know it's magical. How long should we stay here?" Asked Diana.
She didn't want to overdone it with the holidays. She had to come back someday.
"Diana, relax. We are not even in the middle of the spring break. Give some time to yourself to get some rest and have fun. " Juliette said.
Diana knew she was right. Yes, she sometimes tends to push herself too hard when it comes to work, and that's something that she needs to work on.
"Juliette is so right on that one, Diana. We have to do something about it. What about clubbing?" Lia suggested.
"Yes, that's a great idea, Lia! We have to explore the nightlife here, too!" Juliette said.
They both knew that clubs weren't Diana's thing, but she decided to agree. After all, she knew they were right, and who knows, maybe going to a club wouldn't hurt her that much at the end of the day.
She went to her room in order to find what she was going to wear. She wasn't used to going out ,especially going to clubs, but she didn't want to be underdressed. As soon as she opened her wardrobe her phone rang. She answered.
"Hey sissy!"
"Good morning, Remy! Did you sleep well?"
"You always ask the same question, Di."
"And I always get a different answer, Remy!"
"Okay, if you want so much to know..."
"Come on, you know this freaks me out!"
Remy laughed in between.
"So yesterday night I went out and met a girl."
"That was definitely not the answer I thought I'd get."
"Trust me, she is one of a kind!"
"I do trust you Remy don't worry. Just don't forget to focus on your studies too, okay?"
"Okay, Diana, I won't. Tell me about you now! How is monaco?"
"Oh God it so beautiful! I love every part of it. Once you finish this semester, we'll come here together. It's a one in a lifetime experience!"
"Did you drive around the circuit?"
"Of course! Though it's a bit crowded when there is no race."
"Did you bumb into Charles Leclerc?"
"Charles, what?"
"Diana, this is unacceptable! I told you he is a driver for ferrari and he is from Monaco!"
"Oh, the one who was Vettel's teamate in 2019?"
"I keep forgetting that 2019 was the last season you remember,"
"Vettel is still racing, isn't he?"
"No, not anymore. He retired last year,"
"Oh my God, I feel old." Diana said, and they both laughed.
This is how the rest of her day went. She spent some more time talking to her brother and then she took a bubbling bath. She really needed that one.
Diana and her very straight hair always had a weird relationship. On the one hand, she was grateful because there was no need to straighten it. On the other hand, though, she always wanted some more volume. That's why she used some rollers for the bottom part so that it would curl a bit.
She then started doing her makeup. Something light but pretty enough, that's the look she was going for. As a person who is extremely clumsy, she decided to wear the dress she had chosen after the makeup process so that she wouldn't stain it.
The dress was black and short, above the knee actually, something she wasn't used to. She mostly wore mid-length dresses because of her job, and she had a sweet spot for tayers. Thankfully, she had many options for her shoes since heels are always elegant and flattening.
Lia and Juliette were still getting ready, so she decided to sit on the balcony and admire the view. Monte Carlo by night was beautiful. A city full of lights, music, and life in general. For a moment, she stood there and wished that she would stay here forever. Then she grabbed her phone and called a taxi. She knew that after drinking, they wouldn't be able to drive, so she took care of it.
When Lia and Juliette came out of their rooms, they all left the apartment. Since the taxi was already waiting on the road, they got in, and after a while, they agreed on which club was the best for them to go. When they arrived, it was even better than what they had imagined. The club was full of lights and music was already playing from the inside.
They walked in hesitantly and went immediately to the bar. They all started with something light. Three glasses of Moscato d'asti were placed in front of them. The drinks were becoming more and more as time was passing. Diana was feeling a little nauseous, but she was still conscious. She looked around. She saw Lia dancing with some guy, and she smiled. Lia always gets noticed by guys when they go out, so it wasn't a big surprise. Juliette was talking to another guy. She was laughing, so everything was fine. Diana sat by herself at the bar when someone approached her.
"Do not tell me you came alone here," he says.
"Oh no, I'm not alone. My friends are just with some guys they met, and I don't want to interrupt." Diana says and smiles. So does the stranger.
"So, no guy for you, huh?" He says.
"No, but I'm used to it by now," Diana replied and let another laugh out.
"Can I buy you a drink, or will that offend you?" He suggests in a respectful and cute way.
"Sure," Diana replies and smiles.
An hour later, those drinks were multiplied, and both of them were kind of wasted. Diana was feeling a strong connection with this guy, whose name is still a mystery, but she doesn't know why. Maybe it's because she has drank a few more shots than the usual. Maybe because she is tired of rejecting everyone. Maybe because she is tired of not being with someone for so long. Maybe all of that.
One thing led to the other, and there she was leaving the club with this guy. Despite being like that, she managed to wave at Juliette so that she wouldn't worry.
That's where the bluring starts. She got into his car. It was a black ferrari. It had the number sixteen on it. He drove them to his apartment, and then nothing. Just some scenes of clothes on the floor and her hands on his neck. That's all she could remember when she woke up the next day.
