°She lives in daydreams with me
She's the first one that I see°
Diana woke up because of her alarm, which went off at exactly 5 am. She immediately got dressed and gathered her bags beside the door. She managed to put some makeup and some jewelry on, too. Before leaving, she took a piece of paper and wrote a note for her friends.
I didn't want to wake you up, guys, so I left silently. I'm going to miss you a lot. I promise that I'll be calling regularly. Be careful, and I love you<3
She left the note on the table and left the apartment. She had to wait a bit for Charles to come, but when he did, he helped her put her things in the car.
The music filled the car as soon as they got in. This was something that they always did. They were blasting the music while driving, and that was their little habit.
They arrived at the airport and after about two hours of waiting they were already flying.
Charles and Diana were sitting beside each other. Because of his job, the first class seats were guaranteed for both of them.
"Charles, I wanted to talk to you about something. I believe it's important and we have to discuss it." Diana said.
"Yeah, what is it?" Charles said, and it was clear that he was very curious and concerned.
Just then, someone walked in the first class cabin. He was a very handsome man who had a Latino air. He walked towards Charles, who stood up when he saw him.
"Hello mate!" Charles said, smiling.
"Lord Perceval, it's been a while!" The man said, and the Spanish accent was very much noticeable.
"Oh, this is Diana," Charles introduced her, and she smiled. "Diana, this is Carlos. He is my teammate. We both race for Ferrari." He said.
"It's nice to meet pretty ladies like you, Diana," Carlos said and shook Diana's hand.
"Nice to meet you too, Carlos." She said, a bit surprised by his flirting skills.
"Carlos is a professional when it comes to flirting. But he is usually joking, right, Carlos?" Charles said, and you could understand by his tone that he was trying to tell carlos to stay away from Diana.
Carlos knew Charles very well, so he got the message, and he agreed. That's why he made up an excuse and left them alone for a bit.
"He was nice." Diana said. "Is he Spanish?" She then asked.
"Yeah, why?" He said, and Diana couldn't tell whether he was confused or jealous. Maybe he was both.
"He had that Latino vibe. So attractive." She said intentionally.
"Oh really?" He said. "What about the monegacque vibe?" He added in a jealous tone.
"You know I have a sweet spot for that," she replied and kissed him.
"You wanted to talk about something, didn't you?" He reminded her.
"Oh yes. Well I was thinking that we are definitely going to be seen there and the media are going to ask questions about, you know, the kind of relationship that we have so I just wanted to talk and make sure that we are on the same page. I just don't want your personal life to have an impact on your job."
"Diana, you are the sweetest and the most caring person ever." He said and kissed her. "I was actually thinking about this topic too but not in job terms. Probably more in personal terms. I know that's not the ideal place place to have such a conversation, but I believe that the best option is to say that we are together if you have no problem with that, of course. I mean, as you said, we are going to be seen together, and people will start talking about it anyway, so why should we deny it?" He said and waited for a response.
"I think that you are absolutely right. Though, while you said that you were thinking about it in personal terms, you only talked about the job part. Is there anything you want to add?"
"Diana, I don't want to say something just to avoid the rumors. I want us to actually be together. And I know it's a bit early, but -" He tried to say, but Diana stopped him.
"I want that too." She said and smiled.
She then realized the impact this man had on her. For the past few days, she had a smile that didn't fade for a single minute, and now she was officially in a relationship after 4 whole years with a guy she didn't even know a week ago.
"Are you serious right now?" He asked, and his eyes sparkled.
"One hundred percent," she replied.
Charles' eyes widened, and he then kissed her passionately. They both knew that this kiss meant so many words together, but they preferred to express their feelings that way. After all, they were mutual.
"I'm back - oh," they heard Carlos' voice and broke the kiss immediately.
"Sorry, I didn't want to interrupt. Keep going. And get a room," He said, laughing, and left.
"That was embarrassing," Diana commented.
"At least I don't have to announce anything to him now. He saw everything needed himself, right? " Charles said and laughed.
"You have a point there," she said and laughed, too.
After a while, Carlos came back. It was a bit awkward, but they managed to improve the atmosphere. The plane arrived, and after an hour of paperwork and stuff, they were finally free to go.
A taxi was waiting for the three of them outside of the airport, and it took them to their hotel.
The receptionist handed them the keys for their rooms, which were next to each other. Charles and Diana were going to use the same room as they had planned.
They all were pretty tired because of the flight, so they said goodbye and entered their room to get some rest.
