°I was lost in the darkness, but then I found her°

The stuff in the garage started celebrating as soon as they realized. Fred called Diana and told her to come closer to them.

"I want you to announce the pole to him. Just wear those headphones and press the red button to talk."

As soon as she wore the headphones, she heard Charles' voice.

"What happened? What position are we in?"

"Charles, it's Diana. You are on pole!" She said, and you could hear her excitement.

"Ah tu plaisantes! Let's go! That's who we are, guys! Grazie! Grazie! Forza Ferrari! Congratulations to the whole team!"

"Well done, Charles, well done!" Fred said on the radio.

Charles parked the car in the correct position and got out. He started celebrating on top of his car. He then took off his helmet and the piece of fabric that protected his head and handed them to his assistant.

Meanwhile, Fred and Diana had just arrived at the place where he went to take his pole trophy. In the second place, Max Verstappen who was clearly angry and annoyed. Carlos ended up third. It was time for their group photo as tomorrow's podium, but Max refused to participate. He left immediately without talking to the cameras, too.

Charles held the trophy up in his hands while Carlos was answering some questions for the media. He spotted Diana behind some bars that keep the people away. He rushed to her and hugged her tightly.

"I'm so proud of you," she said.

Diana could hear the cameras clicking continuously. They were the center of attention. Charles kissed her in front of everyone. He didn't really care about what the media would write at that point. After breaking the kiss, Charles shook hands with many stuff members who were there to congratulate him.

Will Buxton approached him as well, since he wanted to ask some questions.

"There he is, our pole man, Charles Leclerc. Charles, how do you feel?"

"I feel incredible. This pole is the foundation of the race tomorrow, and it was very important for me and the whole team. Everyone is very happy. We did a great job today. Congratulations to Carlos for P2 as well!" He said.

"What do you have to say about Max's reaction to second place?" He asked.

"Well, I'm not the one to judge. Racing can be extremely difficult and annoying, and everyone has a different way of reacting. Congratulations to the whole red bull team."

"See you in the post qualifying interview!" Buxton said, and Charles left with the rest of the stuff to their building.

He and Diana got in his driver's room, where he took a shower. They had less than an hour before the post qualifying interview. Charles got out of the shower with a towel around his waist while his hair was soaking wet.

Diana couldn't help but stare at him while he was getting ready.

"I would very much like to finish what you are starting, but we do not have time right now," He said. "However, I can assure you that I won't let it end here." He added with a smirk as he french-kissed her.

"Lord Perceval, we have to go!" Carlos said when he knocked on the door.

"Thanks, Carlos. I'm on my way." He replied.

They were already sitting on the lard white couch when Diana arrived as well. She spotted Isa with another girl and approached them.

"Hey girl!" Isa said. "Oh, this is Kelly, and this is Diana. Kelly is Max's girlfriend. Diana is.." Isa tried to introduce everyone.

"Our new-born star." Kelly said, and Diana wasn't able to tell whether she was joking or not. She laughed nervously and smiled.

"It's nice to meet you," she said and sat next to Isa.

Diana opened her phone, only to see that her followers were now around 30 thousand.

"Isa, is this increase normal?" She asked.

"Oh totally. That's what happened when me and Carlos got together." She tried to calm her down.

Everyone was ready, and the post qualifying interview started.

"What a day that was! So we have here most of the drivers but I'm gonna start with the driver of the day. Our pole man, Charles Leclerc! So tell us Charles, how does it feel to be back in Italy with such an outcome?"

"It feels amazing. I am very satisfied with the results until now, and we will keep pushing at the race tomorrow. Our opponents are very strong, so we have to be very careful." Charles said.

"I wish you good luck with that. Another question, Charles. It's clear that the support for ferrari in this track is insane. How do you feel about the fans, and do you want to say something to them?"

"It's true the support here is basically out of this world. As a team, we are very grateful for every single fan. As a person, I believe that those smiles that we see every day from the fans are worth the pain and the stress that we get through every day. It really pays off. And thank you to everyone who has supported the team in any form."

"He is great with words." Max commented and everyone laughed.

"Oh he really is! Coming to you Max. You qualified second today. Tell us something about it. What happened and how do you feel?"

"Today's result wasn't bad, but not good either. We did have some problems with the car and ferrari was much stronger there so yeah. We keep pushing and hoping for the best."

The interviewer asked a few more questions to several drivers and then let the audience ask anything. A girl wearing ferrari merchandise was the one who stood up first.

"So this question is for Charles. You revealed yesterday you relationship with a girl named Diana. I believe she is somewhere here as well. Oh there she is hey!" She said and Diana waved as the cameras turned to her. "Regarding the whole craziness that has occurred in the media, how do you deal with that, and has has Diana affected you, both professionally and personally?" She said and sat on her seat.

"Well it is true that the media can get a bit annoying from time to time. But this is how it works and we can not do anything about it. We don't have any special way. We have a relationship like everybody can have and we chose not to show it a lot on social media. Apart from that we just ignore the rumors and live our lives. When it comes to racing I have to say that Diana is very supportive and that she definitely has some impact on my job when it comes to my moral. She has the ability to always cheer me up or calm me down via her words. In personal terms, I would say that I have changed for the better because of her." He answered and people were cheering.

"Told you he has his way with words!" Max added.
