Sean stood inside of Zoey's dorm thinking of a way to break the news to her. He heard on a movie that it was vital that he broke it off in the female's home instead of his own, so he took that into account.
"What do you want to talk about?" Zoey asked while eyeing Sean.
"You remember the other day right? When you told me you think you're falling in love with me."
"Um, yeah?" Zoey turned to pick up her laundry basket placing in on her bed. She was about to go finish up some laundry before she headed out.
"And you know how we made a pact that feelings weren't going to get involved."
Zoey sighed in irritation. She needed him to get to the point, the two had been spending a lot of time together so feelings were bound to come.
Being that they were both involved in sports, they had the option to come back onto campus early. During that time the two had spent nights together, went out together, and even worked out with each other.
There wasn't anything wrong with Zoey, Sean just wasn't ready to settle down. Especially being that he did everything with Zoey without a title.
"Spit it out Sean." Zoey cut her eyes over to him. Her face scrunched in irritation.
Sean looked away before turning to look at Zoey, who was now standing directly in front of him. "I just don't want to break your heart."
"It's a little too late for that." Zoey replied, her face now laced with disappointment. She cared about him. "Just let me know what's up."
"I don't wanna do this anymore. We promised each other that no feelings would get involved and you know that I'm not a one woman type of dude, at least not yet."
"So you can't change for me?" Zoey pointed at herself. She didn't understand why he didn't want to be with her.
"Zoey, don't make this harder than it has to be bro. I care about you but I can't get into a relationship with you knowing that I'm not ready. You have feelings and I don't."
Sean always made it seem as if he was this nonchalant person without feelings. He never expressed himself because he never had that growing up. He felt that expressing himself as a man made him vulnerable.
With tears in her eyes, Zoey nodded, "Ok.. whatever."
Sean didn't intend to make her cry. But her saying ok made him sigh in relief.
"So, you good?" Sean touched her shoulder as he stood in front of her.
He saw how teary her eyes were but didn't ask about it.
"Just leave."
Sean thanked God, that she made it easier to break it off.
Little did he know Zoey had a lot up her sleeve. She didn't like how he just called it off and didn't even stop to ask if she was genuinely ok.

Milan smiled as she received the compliment from, Elijah, Terry's friend. The two had been texting for the past two days and she loved the attention she was receiving.
Elijah was not bad looking. He had brown skin and locs that were to his shoulders. From the pictures she received from him she noticed that he was decorated in tattoos and had a lean build.
Elijah had a broad nose with plump two toned lips. His eyes were hooded and his teeth were perfectly aligned, which made Milan even more interested.
She couldn't believe she had managed to pull somebody like Elijah.
elijah: can I call you?
Milan grew nervous, but she was glad that she had a English class in a hour, she could easily use that as an excuse to get off the phone with him if need be.
milan: after I get off the phone with my mom.
She needed to see how she and her little brother were holding up. They talked every day being that her mom, Lauren, was worried about her daughter.
She had went to the university and knew the ins and outs. Lauren wanted to make sure Milan knew them as well, she knew how shy and sheltered her daughter was.
Milan called her mother as she got up from the bed, she placed her phone on speaker as she placed her locs in a low ponytail while standing in front of her full body mirror.
Milan was grateful for being placed in an upperclassman dorm with her own room. Her and Paris shared a room with two separate rooms in which they shared a kitchen and a bathroom.
"Hello Mimi." Lauren greeted.
"Hey ma, how are you and bubba." Milan heard her phone ding and walked over to the bed, Elijah had texted her back.
"Good, you know he's trying to play basketball at his school now. I have to come get you to go to one of his games."
"Okay, I wanted to know if there are any jobs available on campus."
"Yes! There's tons. I'll get with one of my college friends who can get you into the bookstore or library."
"Ok ma, I'll talk to you later. I have a class coming up."
"Alright, love you."
"Love you too. Tell bubba I said hi."
"Will do, be safe." The call ended and Milan dialed up Elijah.
"Yoo." Elijah answered on the third ring, his baritone voice was like music to Milan's ears.
"Hey." Milan picked up her phone and held it to her ear. She took her phone off of speaker.
"Hey," Elijah mocked making her face heat up, her voice was so soft. "What you about to get into?"
"Well, I have a class coming up in about thirty minutes and then afterwards I'll probably go to the Pitt."
"What do you get from there?"
"Uhh, usually I go for WOW. I'd get the tend-"
"He broke it off with me Paris! I knew it wasn't a good idea to tell him I had feelings." The unknown girl yelled interrupting Milan's sentence.
"Damn, she loud." Elijah laughed. He heard every word the girl said.
"I know.."
Milan didn't hear a thing Paris had said back, but she heard the girls next statement.
"He's gonna regret that shit, I promise. The nigga has yet to check on me. He must've forgot he left his sneakers and some of his clothes in my room."
