"So you're telling me.." Deon laughed in between his sentence before continuing "Zoey crazy ass, told your momma."

Sean stale faced his friend. He didn't think it was funny at all. "That's what I said and get your stank ass feet off of my desk."

Sean knocked his feet off of his desk before sitting on his bed. It had been a day since the incident and he had just told Deon about the situation, he wasn't ready for him to tell him 'I told you so.'

Sean grabbed his basketball shooting air shots, catching the ball in his hand each time.

"Why you mad at me? I told you Zoey looked like she had a streak before you even got in this position." Deon stated truthfully.

"I'm not trying to hear that shit Dee. I know I shouldn't have told your goofy ass shit."

"Mmcht, I'm just playing." Deon knew that Sean's player ways would catch up to him. "But on the real note, why don't you find you a nice girl and settle down?"

"Like you and Taylor? This is college. I'll worry about all that when I graduate. Right now, I'm enjoying my youth."

Sean saw first had how getting in long-term relationships too early had a negative effect sometimes. His mom and dad had gotten together in high school and married right after and it didn't end well.

"I feel you, but that doesn't make it right to play with fe-"

"Dee, please."

Deon raised his hand surrendering he wasn't trying to start an argument with his friend.

"Just try to take in what I'm saying. I'm not trying to dictate what your life, just trying to be a good friend is all."

"I understand, stop with all that gushy shit though. Save that for Taylor." Sean laughed.

Deon laughed with him and waved him off, "You going to that party tomorrow?"

"Yeah, for sure. You wanna hit the library so we can do some work beforehand." Sean palmed his ball in his hand as he looked at Deon.

"Fasho, I'm bringing Taylor along."

"Man, alright."

"Are you sure you're ok Milli?" Lauren questioned her daughter watching her as she walked to the library

"Are you sure you're ok Milli?" Lauren questioned her daughter watching her as she walked to the library. She was going to speak with the Library assistant.

"I'm fine mom."

"Miss Stokes is a nice lady. You shouldn't have anything to worry about, love you bye."

"Bye Milli." Her little brother, Malik, waved in the camera.

"Bye bubba, love y'all."

Milan ended the call and headed into the library. She looked at the fountain that was located in front of the libraries entrance, she would never not be intrigued by it.

When she made it inside she walked over to the desk where books could be turned in and checked out. She noticed what looked like a student was occupied on the computer behind it.

"Hey!" Milan whisper yelled to the girl who's head turned towards the voice.

She offered a friendly smile and walked toward Milan, "How may I assist you today?"

Milan studied the girl, what she was instantly drawn to were her locs. They were long and neatly pulled into a ponytail. Her skin was light and free of any blemishes, her red lipstick brought out her white teeth when she smiled.

"Uhh, I'm looking to speak with Miss.Stokes." Milan smiled.

"Of course, I'll be right back."

Soon an older woman with short grey hair made her way out of the office that was right beside the desk entrance. She was short with brown skin that held wrinkles.

"Hello, I'm Miss Stokes. What can I do for ya?" The woman asked.

"I'm Milan Evans and I'm interested in being a student worker here at the library."

The lady nodded, she knew Milan's mother. "Come back here let me speak to you."

The two talked about her duties in the library. She would be in the actual library making sure to answer any questions students may have about technology, whereabouts of books, and anything else.

Milan signed some paperwork and left out of the office before waving bye to the girl that was named Yasmeen. Miss Stokes made sure to introduce the two before she left.

When Milan made it outside she let out a breath that she didn't realize she was holding in.

Milan took out her phone and went to her camera. She looked pretty today, her locs flowed freely and her skin was glowing. She made sure to snap a few pictures.

As she posed for her pictures two guys and an unknown girl walked out of the library making conversation. One in particular noticed the girl, she was beautiful.

"Hey, wassup." The unknown boy said as he made his way in front of Milan.

She eyed him, she realized him from somewhere. "Hey." Milan stated shyly.

"You look nice today, can I have your number? We can hang-"

"Wait, I know you. You're the rude guy from the hall the other day."

Sean smacked his lips, he didn't even recognize the girl, "My bad, I've been going through a lot. That's no excuse to treat you the way I did though."

Sean flashed his pearly whites making Milan look down, she was smiling as well.

Sean looked back at his homeboy Deon and Taylor who were chatting amongst themselves. "So, about that number."

"Give me yours."

Sean raised his eyebrows, and gave her his number. She saved it under rude boy from the hall.

"You're not going to call or text me, so I can lock you in?"

"I'll text you later." Milan smiled before walking away.

Sean licked his bottom lip as he watched Milan.
