Sean walked through the crowd of people with his eyes glued on the duo. He knew he probably shouldn't have went up to them but it was for a good reason, in his opinion. Milan and Davon stopped their conversation once she noticed Sean walking over.

Davon noticed her attention was elsewhere and followed her gaze. Sean stuck his hand in his pants pockets out of nervousness as he looked from Milan to Davon who had his eyebrows furrowed.

"Hey man, sorry to interrupt. Are you Davon?"

Davon nodded stiffly, "Yeah, wassup?"

"Do you have a sister named Zoey? She's pretty drunk, I think she should get back to campus now."

Milan's eyes drifted between the two. She had no idea what was going on. Davon having a sister? Zoey? Sean's Zoey?

"Uh yeah, Milan I'll be right back. Where is she?"

"In the kitchen, I told her to wait in there until I got ahold of you."

Davon looked at Milan before he walked off to find Zoey, leaving Sean and Milan alone.

She crossed her arms, "Are you trying to ruin my life?" Milan eyed Sean.

"Not at all, just a concerned citizen." Sean shrugged, he looked back into the kitchen and saw that Davon was catering to Zoey. He was about to take her home.

"So.. that's her brother?"

Sean shrugged, "That's what she said."

Milan was confused. She didn't know if Davon was being genuine with her or if Zoey had put him up to something, she needed an explanation and fast.

"That's strange, he never mentioned that he had a sister."

"Yeah, well I'll check into that. I know how Zoey could be. You be safe though." Sean did a small smile before he attempted to walk off only to be stopped by Milan.

"Wait." Milan closed her eyes briefly before reopening them, she couldn't believe that she had stopped him from walking away.

Sean looked back and raised his brows, "Are you sure?"

"This is the least you can do after you made my date leave."

"Date to a party? That's crazy." Sean laughed a little.

"You know what I mean." Milan playfully rolled her eyes.

"Wanna get out of here?" Sean looked around at the crowd and back at Milan for an answer, she nodded at the two made their way out of the door and onto the front porch.

"Where are we going?" Milan took out her phone and texted the group chat letting them know that she was safe and with Sean.

She knew her friends were going to go crazy in the group chat when they saw the message.

"Can't go far. I brung Taylor and Deon here."

"Okay! Am I hearing that you got your car fixed." Milan smiled.

"And did." Sean laughed.

"You can tell that you be around a lot of females, they're rubbing off on you." Milan side eyed Sean.

"What can I say?" Sean bragged before he walked down the steps.

Milan didn't respond as she trailed behind him, they made their way across the street and into Sean's vehicle.

"It smells good in here too, okay Seany."

"Thank you, thank you." Sean cheesed as he turned the key in the ignition to turn on the radio. He connected his phone to the Bluetooth before looking over at Milan who was looking out of the window.

"Are you okay?" Sean asked.

"I'm fine, how's homecoming going for you? I know it just started but are you excited?"

"I mean, I'm not really in the school spirit. Not in the mood for anything really." Sean leaned his head back against the headrest.

"What's the matter?" Milan asked.

"It's just- I just feel like I'm a bad person. The multiple females and breaking hearts just isn't sitting well with me."

Milan looked down before looking at Sean. She felt sorry for him, he seemed genuinely down and she never seen him like that.

"You can't be so hard on yourself but I'm glad you're taking accountability. That's something you do a lot, but you also have to change your actions. You can't know that you're doing wrong and just continue to do it."

Sean nodded, "That's true, I think I truly felt it when you decided to break whatever we were doing off. I wanted my cake and to eat it too."

"Good, I wanted you to feel it." Milan laughed making Sean laugh as well.

"I think I'm ready now Milan." Sean said as he looked over at her. She was at a loss for words.

She opened and closed her mouth multiple times before speaking, "Are you saying that because you see me with someone else or do you genuinely want to be with me?"

Sean looked forward, he didn't have an answer for that.

"You're probably confused and navigating your feelings. I can't just end it with Davon because you assume that you're ready. I have to see where this goes Sean." Milan expressed.

Sean nodded slowly, "I understand, can I at least have my friend back?"

Milan laughed before nodding, "Yeah."
