Secrets in the Woods- Beomkai

Last day of school

6:00am
Kai's alarm clock goes off. He shuts it off reluctantly and tells himself "just five more minutes" and rolls over back to sleep.

"KAI WAKE UP ITS THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!"
"Ugh go away Joshua"
Kai picks up one of his plushies and throws it at his older brother. Joshua bends down to pick it up and throws it right back, hitting Kai square in the face.

"Kai if you dont wake up soon Im going to tell dad to sell your corvette while youre gone!"

Kai sits up in disbelief to what he said. "You wouldn't dare."

"Try me. Its not like you're taking that thing to the cabin anyways."

"Okay, Im sorry Im up. Is mom and dad going to be home before I leave? When are they getting back?"

Joshua sighs, "they wont be home. They tried but theyre still stuck in Hawaii. Grandpa's divorce with grandma is becoming a lot more complicated than either of them imagined... but I'll be here! I wouldnt miss seeing my little brother off before he leaves me for a month!"

Kai gives him a faint smile as Joshua exits to let Kai dress. He knew his parents wouldnt be there but he got hopeful anyways. His parents are the top divorce lawyers of the west coast, arguably the entire country, so it was extra hard when his own grandparents insisted on them splitting their affairs, leaving Joshua behind to raise Kai his last year of high school. It wasn't all bad though. Kai, being grandpa's favorite, was given his limited edition ruby red plated corvette with midnight black leather seats just so his grandma couldn't claim it in the divorce.

Kai was rummaging through his clothes, nothing in it was short of designer and tailor made to his body. He settled on a cuffed white button down, black ripped skinny jeans and vintage white loafers handcrafted from Italy. He styled his black strands to flow across his forehead with a small gap of exposure, just how Joshua insisted he looked best in. He grabbed a pair of black diamond studs and deemed his look complete.

Joshua threw him a granola bar and they parted in Joshua's silver bentley. It didn't matter if he got crumbs in the passanger seat because it was going to be cleaned when he was at work anyways.

They stopped at their favorite coffee house, ordered two vanilla lattes, and headed back onto the road to Kai's school. Kai could hear the cashier squealing behind him about the $50 tip they left and it made him giggle.

"Oh Kai before I forget-", Joshua says as they pull up to the school, "I'm-"

"KAI!! Its finally the last day can you believe it?! We're going to be done with high school! Forever! Oh, sorry... hi Joshua! "

"Hi Soobin! Kai go ahead, I'll catch up with you later."

Kai says goodbye to his brother and goes into the open arms of Soobin. They start jumping up and down, laughing like they did when they were 6 and found out both of their favorite power ranger was the red one. This was going to be a good day. Kai could feel it.
