Secrets in the Woods- Beomkai

Catch and bounce

Soobin wakes up first. He looks around to see his friends sleeping beside him. His head slightly throbs while he rubs his eyes. He slowly leans up off of Taehyun and heads upstairs.

The time on the clock reads 1:04 pm. "Fuck. How long were we out?" He stumbles into his room and takes a cold shower. Water runs down his body and Soobin throws up the remaining contents of his stomach. Thank god he didnt have any solid food, he thinks, as he watches the spoiled liquid go down the drain. He finishes up and decides to make breakfast for everyone as a "thank you" for not abandoning him down there.

"Let's see... eggs... wait it's lunch time. Eh, fuck it. Brunch it is."
Soobin grabs the ingredients to make breakfast burgers. Ground venison, spices, eggs, potatoes and a bottle of his homemade spicy mayo.

He gets to work on forming and seasoning the burger patties first. After thats done, he washes his hands and puts a few fans on the fire burners to heat. The potatoes get shredded, mixed with an egg, and generously seasoned with flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder. He fries a sample of his potato mixture and adds the smallest hint of cinamon after deciding it wasnt good enough. It gives it a subtle spicy sweetness thatll taste great with the venison patties.

The burgers go on the flat top to cook and he begins to fry the potato disks off. The potatoes get done cooking first, inidicating its time to flip his burgers. He sets the potatoes aside on a plate and starts to clean up. After wiping down, he goes back to his burgers and puts them aside to rest.

Soobin finishes a few more dishes then starts to fry the eggs. When they're about 2 minutes away, he grabs the hamburger buns and toasts them off on the flat top in the leftover patty juices.

Once everything was cooked, he assembled the burgers and placed them on the table. Coffee was put into a pot to brew and he went downstairs to grab his friends.

"Guys wake up. I made breakfast for everyone." Soobin shook Kai awake first.

Kai mumbled for him to go away but then started to smell what was upstairs. "Soobin that smells really delicious!"

"Thanks Kai. Breakfast burgers and coffee. Don't worry I have gave you orange juice."

Kai gives him a quick hug then helps him wake everyone else. Kai carries Beomgyu up the stairs and the other three follow behind.

During breakfast, they tell Soobin the plan they came up with last night. He agrees to it but asks if they could start tomorrow. "I just want one day with my friends before my life is ruined. Please?"

The 4 look at each other and nod. Kai remembers the giant stack of fireworks sitting in his trunk. "Hey. Want to light the fireworks off tonight? What better way than to go out with a bang?" He holds up his glass in the air. "To one last day!"

"To one last day!" They shout in unison.

Breakfast finishes up. "Junnie help me with the dishes please" says Taehyun.

"Junnie?" teases Beomgyu.
"You got a problem with that?" threatens Taehyun.

"No problem. Just a little too cute for someone born in the 1800s that's all."

"I AM 4 MONTHS OLDER THAN YOU!" Yeonjun yells while charging towards Beomgyu.

Kai picks his up and runs into their bedroom. Yeonjun stops on the stairs and turns around to direct his anger at a Soobin who was laughing a little too hard. "What are you laughing at? You're only a month younger than me."

"Still younger grandpa!"

"Yeonjun seriously please help me with the dishes!" Taehyun pleads. Yeonjun gives into his boyfriend and they finish cleaning up. Taehyun back hugs his boyfriend and whispers "I love you Junnie." And just like that, they run to their bedroom and slam the door shut.
