Shang-Chi had to throw Madeline a glare for her to remain quiet as she found it harder and harder to do that.

"Yeah, I don't...Yeah" he shrugged his shoulders.

"I wonder how your father found you" Madeline joked in wheezes, getting another amused look from Katy.

"Okay, I was 15 years old. All right?" he defended himself.

"What is your name change logic? You're going into hiding" Katy and Madeline continued to 'bully' him.

"Okay" Shang-Chi let his head fall back onto his head rest.

"And your name is Michael, you go on and change it to Mishael" that got Katy another snort from Madeline whose usually pale face was turning red.

"That's not what happened" Shang-Chi retorted.

"It's like, Hi, my names Gina. Im gonna go into hiding. My new names Gina"

"HA!" Madeline covered her mouth as she breathed in short intakes of air.

"Can't hear you. Im sorry" Shang-Chi placed his headphones over his ears.

"Yeah, okay. Oh, yeah, you can hear me" Katy turned to her other friend who had finally begun to breathe normally "And what about you? Any weird name changes I'm supposed to be aware off?"

"Na" Madeline waved her hand at her "I've always been Madeline Liu. AS far as I know, my father died in a house fire when I was barely two years old and my mother brought us here to live with my great aunt, which reminds me"

'Tia partirò per Macao con i miei amici per un po '. Per favore, non preoccuparti per me. Ho chiesto all'aeroporto di mandare l'auto a casa. Si prega di non dimenticare di nutrire Carcass.

Amore, Madeline'

(Tia will be leaving for Macau with my friends for a while. Please don't worry about me. I asked the airport to send the car home. Please do not forget to feed Carcass. Love, Madeline').

Carcass in her large Maine Coon she and her aunt adopted after her mother's death. He was called Carcass because of his insistence of bringing her large dead animals every day to her room.

She sent the message and locked her phone.

"So?" Katy asked her as she leaned her head on her friend's shoulder.

"After that my mother got some sort of obsession with training me in as many martial arts as she could. It had something to do with my father's heritage I think but she died before she had the chance to tell me. All I have from her is this bracelet" she rolled up her sleeve and showed Katy her snake bracelet, not mentioning the fact that it turned into a whip if uncoiled.

"I'm sorry" Katy asked quietly "For your mother and father I mean"

"It wasn't your fault Katy" she told the woman.

She felt her friend's weight on her shoulder become heavier as Katy fell asleep on her and Madeline smiled down at her, pulling up the covers to her chin.

She looked over at Shang-Chi who had slipped one of the ears of the headphone's ears off and was now looking at her.

With an exaggerated sigh she patted her other shoulder and he smiles, pulling his headphones into a more comfortable position and also laying his head on her shoulder.

Shang-Chi smiled when he felt her long fingers weave through his hair gently making him feel sleepy.

"Sleep" she whispered to him in Chinese "I'll wake you both up when we get there"

Ф

I'll be referring to Shang-Chi as only Shang from this point on since Katy and Madeline are still not used to his full name.

After they had gotten off the plane the first thing they had done was follow Shang into what looked like a building under construction.

"Are you positive this is the place?" Madeline asked Shang as he led them forward.

"I'm sure" he whispered back.

The sound of indistinct chatter and laughter came closer and the sounds of crowds cheering grew.

They got in the elevator where a man dressed in a dark suit stood silently.

"Sign here to get in" he told them in Chinese.

He passed them a tablet with what looked like a contract written on it and a pen to write on it.

Shang signed it without looking which made Madeline furrow her eyebrows at his brashness.

"I'm looking for my sister, Xu Xialing. Have you heard of her? This is the address she gave me" he handed the tablet and pen back to the man an showed him the postcard, but received no answer himself "Okay"

"Seems like a nice fella" Katy claimed with a small smile "And this elevator is definitely up to code. There's absolutely no chance of it just falling off the side of the building..."

She was cut off as the elevator shook abruptly coming to a stop; the door opened to reveal a large room where all the noise they heard before was coming from and a man dressed weirdly waiting for them in front of it.

"Bus Boy and Bus Girl!" the man cheered, directing himself to them.

"Uh" They shared looks.

"Two million views in three days, bro!" he said, pulling out a phone and showing them a clip of the video the man on the bus had taken of them drop kicking the attackers.

"Damn, dude" Katy said in a rather appreciative tone as she looked at the footage.

"Oh, no" Shang sighed and Madeline looked rather nonchalant.

"And you're the driver!" the man gasped out as he spotted Katy from behind them.

"Oh, my Chinese sucks" she responded sheepishly.

"Oh, all good. I speak A-B-C" the man said, now speaking in English.

"Oh, great" Katy said, sticking herself to Madeline's side.

"I'm Jon Jon" the man presented himself.

"Jon Jon" Katy repeated before Madeline was pulled away from her as the man circled his arms around her and Shang, the male giving the girl an encouraging look.

"Welcome to the Golden Daggers Club" he motioned to the large structures inside the building "Okay, let's get Bus Boy, get ready to fight"

"Wait. What?" they turned to the man in confusion after he patted their shoulders in a friendly manner.

"We're a multi-platform global operation. Every fight livestreamed on the dark web" he told them "Thousands of viewers placing bets as we speak. This is gonna take your brand to a whole new level"

"I...We think there's been some sort of confusion" Madeline said, Shang nodding his head in agreement with her.

"I like your spike face" the Italian heard her other friend tell a man wearing a mask made of silver spikes.

"Thanks!" the man responded cheerfully.

"Usually, you gotta fight your way to centre ring, but you are a viral star, and viral stars like you? Front of line, baby" Jon Jon said as he walked them forward.

"I'm not here to fight anybody. Okay? I'm looking for my sister, Xu Xialing" Shang told the other man.
