"I'm not fighting you" he breathed out.
"You shouldn't have come back" Madeline saw her say, reading her mouth.
She gasped when the woman paused momentarily only to kick her own brother across the face making him fall down. Shang remained laying there a blood splattered across the glass as it dribbled down his nose and mouth and bruises began to form.
Katy sent him a visual thumbs up and Madeline cringed for him as she downed the remaining of her drink.
They joined him after he had once more dressed himself and Jon Jon asked them to follow him, most likely so Xialing could speak with Shang.

Shang and Madeline were led into a huge room where Kialing was sat on the desk in front of sofas, while Katy stayed behind with Jon Jon.
"You run this place?" Shang Chi asked his sister in Chinese.
"I own it" the woman responded, pressing a button and letting Katy in. The woman was carrying two rather large stack of money in both hands.
"Where'd you get all that money?" he asked as Katy handed Madeline her own stack and the Italian woman began licking her finger and counting the bucks "Did you bet against me? Both of you?"
Madeline shrugged and gave him a meek smile, shoving her earning into Katy's duffel bag.
"No" Katy denied "Hi, Xialing. I'm Katy. You're, like, such a badass. Everything that you do is, like, so cool. That was really cool" the woman fumbled over her words.
Madeline looked closely at Shang to make sure he wasn't badly hurt.
"I like your pants" Shang's sister complimented with a smile making Katy shyly rub her hand down her legs. Shang rolled his eyes at the two women's interaction since his best friend got a more positive reaction from his own sister than himself.
"Thank you. Thanks. Yeah"
"Now, what do you want?" Xialing went back to the matter at hand.
"The Ten Rings ambushed us in San Francisco" Shang told his sister.
"I saw the video" she responded.
"They took my pendant. They're gonna come for yours next" Xialing clasped her hand over her own pendant subconsciously "I don't know what he wants with them, but we both know it can't be good.
"You know what he said to me when he left?" Xialing asked Madeline and Katy, ignoring her brother "'I'll be back in three days'. And after three days, I went to our moms shrine and waited. Three days turned into a week, a week turned to a month, and a month turned to six years" Madeline saw Shang's guilty look and brushed the back of her hand against his "That's how long it took me to realise I didn't need him anymore. I built this place on my own. I didn't need you then, and I don't need you now"
"Then why would you send me the postcard?" he asked as his hand went into his pocket.
"What postcard?" she asked as he handed it over to her.
"I didn't send you this" she said as she inspected the drawn dragon on the face of the card.
There was a distant explosion followed by the screams of the crowds and the alarm blaring on.
"Is there a back exit?" Shang asked as he turned back to his sister.
"Shaun" Madeline pointed to the dark haired woman and Jon Jon who were going out a door that closed behind him.
"Hey. Hey! Hey, open up!" the man banged on the wall, hoping to get it to open.
"She's gone, dude. Pity" Katy told him. Madeline nudged her as she then started to panic "What do we do? What do we do? Uh"
Shang grabbed something from the room and threw it at the large window doors to make them open and making the bamboo scaffolding more visible.
"Come on!" he held his hand out to them and grabbed Madeline's hand to help her over the broken glass. Katy following behind.
"Oh, hell no. Screw you! I'm not doing this" Katy said as she froze in place despite Madeline's hands on her shoulders.
"If we make it to the elevator, we can hop in on the next floor" Shang thought up quickly. As they went towards the elevator, the sounds of screams and explosions grew louder.
"Katy, were out of options. We have to go now" Madeline told her.
The woman took her friend's hand and Shang took her own to pull her with him. Right at that moment a window was broken above them and three men dressed in armour jumped out, looking down on them.
"Whoa" Katy said as her gaze fell on the three men.
"Just head straight for that elevator. You got this. I'll buy you some time. Just keep going" Shang told the two girls.
"Aw hell no" Madeline dodged his pushing hands "You go Katy and I'll stay here and keep as many of those as I can off of you"
"And leave you here alone?" Katy said despite the fear of confronting the three men "Mads are you crazy?"
"Just go, we'll be fine" Madeline said as she kicked a man back and flipped herself down to the level Shang was already at.
She disarmed one of the many men now coming down on them and stole his metal baton, cruelly breaking his arm and making him scream out in pain. His body falling off the bamboo ledges.
"♪ On a dark desert highway ♪" Katy sang Hotel California by the Eagles to the man who stood in front of her with his baton, hoping to distract him "♪ Cool wind in my hair ♪"
Shang pushed the man off the bamboo and continued to fight him as he pushed Katy further towards the elevator.
Madeline turned when she heard a scream and saw Katy hugging tightly onto a bamboo stick that was bending and about to snap in half.
"Katy!" Madeline shouted, then turning to Shang who was just done throwing another man off the ledges "Shang!"
She tried to go over to her friend but more men surrounded her. She had to act quickly as the bamboo holding Katy was beginning to fray. Her friend was inching closer to falling due to the pressure of her weight . Shang, having heard Madeline, made his way as fast as he could to Katy only to have a man stand in front of him.
Katy's pole finally snapped and Madeline screamed when her friend's body fell down the building floors when Shang tried to hold onto their friend but was electrocuted and dropped her.
