Solis
I had spent the morning bending light in my hands, water could float through the air with a simple movement of my finger tips. I knew nothing of being a queen, but somehow I knew I would learn.

My Matthew and Tara were arguing over a video game when I went downstairs.
"Here." I took the remote - they were playing wii plus- and quickly bested both of them at the meditation candle flame game.
"How in the.."
"Are you alright Mom?" I asked.
"My dishes are doing themselves." She laughed. "And the sun is shining again. I guess we aren't getting the rain afterall."
"Matthew, put the game up. I need help with the yard work." Their Dad called out as he headed for the backyard.

"Dad!"
"Yes Sunshine."
"I love you." I whispered giving him a hug."
"I love you too Solis." He ruffled my hair, "You alright?"
"Yeah. I'm alright."
"Good, can't have my sunshine turning into a rain cloud."
"I won't Dad. Hey Matthew!"
"What?"
"Be good okay?" I bopped the brim of his hat.
"Yeah whatever." He scoweled, adujusting his hat.

I went back inside to find Mom and Tara arguing.
"Tara, I don't want you getting mixed up in all of this. You are not to be doing drugs of any kind!"
"You're the worst, you let Solis hang with those boys!"

"Mom, may I?" I asked, grabbing Tara by the arm.
"Quit them!"
"Yeah take Mom's side." Tara huffed in annoyance.
"No Tara, I'm serious. You have so much to live for. Quit  the smoking or whatever. Go to college, Mom and Dad will pay for it. Study art or music. But go live your life."
"You are the weirdest sister I've ever had." Tara rolled her eyes.
"I'm your only sister."

Mom was supervising the dishes. "I just don't get it, how are they doing themselves?"
"I don't know Mom, maybe they're enchanted."
"Perhaps." She gave me a hug. "My little sprite."
"Thanks Mom. I'm going to head over to Yugi and Mokuba's."

"Alright have fun. Solis?"
"Yeah?"
"I heard about Donovan. I'm so sorry. I know I never liked him, but he made you happy."
"Not really Mom, he made his choice. I can't live in the past forever."
"My wise girl. See for dinner?"
"You know it."

I acrossed the lawn and Yugi came to open the door.
"Hey Solis."
"Hey Yugi."
There was a sounding crash from the kitchen.
"Are you alright Grampa?" Yugi asked, picking up the stray pans.
"I'm alright. Atem here wanted to learn how to cook."

Atem sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, "I was trying.." He said placing a sauce pan down on the counter, "To be helpful."
"Hi Solis."
"Hello Atem." I smiled, stiffling laughter.
Mokuba shook his head, "Isn't this why we have staff? Seto never cooks."
"I like cooking." Yugi shrugged. "What about you Solis?"
"I'll cook occasionally but there's nothing better than being with friends."

"I'm coming back with you Atem."
Atem nodded, "Of course. Oh Solis, I've missed you." He wrapped me in a hug.
"I've missed you too." When my powers manifested a few nights ago at the dance, so to did the memories I held of Atem and Egypt.

"You two going to be okay for the rest of the year?"
"We'll be fine Solis." Yugi smiled, wrapping an arm around Mokuba.
"Yeah, we got this. No one gets to toss us around, especially Donovan!" Mokuba shouted.

"I'll miss you both." I ruffled Mokuba's hair and gave Yugi a hug. "Thank you for everything."
"Bye Gramps."
"Bye Solis." He chuckled, "You're always welcome to visit."
"I'll keep it in mind." I laughed. Atem took my hand, "Did you say goodbye to your parents and siblings?"
"Yeah, I did. They are a wonderful family."
"That they are."

Atem and I walked into the backyard, "Ready."
"I am." Slowly we began to fade away. The Eygptian sun hung above us. My jeans and t-shirt had morphed into a long gold and turquoise dress. I smiled softly feeling the sun gems upon my tiara.

"Welcome home Solis." Atem whispered to me. He too had changed outfits.
"Welcome home to both of us." I said gently kissing him.

It was grand. It was well.
