Chapter 50 Requiem

(To Inuyasha)

"I'll take those dog-ears as a souvenir, though." Jakotsu insists as he waves his sword towards Inuyasha.

"Yeah, right." Inuyasha asserts as he dodges Jakotsu's blade only for it to circle back around and wrap around Inuyasha causing him to bend down on the ground, while Jakotsu laughs.

"Once I pull on this sword, you'll be slashed into pieces." Jakotsu threatens causing Inuyasha to growl at him.

"Bye-bye, Inuyasha. Of all the men who have died by my sword, I have to say, I like you the best." Jakotsu informs as he pulls his sword causing spurts of blood to slash out of Inuyasha.

"You fool! It's a little too soon to gloat Jakotsu!" Inuyasha bellows as he lifts his sword up causing Jakotsu's blades to stop moving making him gasp.

"Windscar!" Inuyasha shouts, while he quickly brings his sword down causing a rush of energy to rush towards Jakotsu.

"It's over." Inuyasha sighs as the dust clears causing Inuyasha to sheath his Tessaiga and turns, but before he could start walking the sound of coughing rings out.

"You still not dead, Jakotsu?" Inuyasha asks as he glances back to see Jakotsu burried under the rubble surrounded by his blades that were cracked.

"Inuyasha, what are you waiting for just finish me. I don't mind dying by your hand, Inuyasha." Jakotsu coughs causing Inuyasha to turn to him.

"No." Inuyasha says as he goes to walk away.

"Are you sure about this? If you don't kill me now, I'll just come after you again. You should know by now how stubborn I can be." Jakotsu states causing Inuyasha to look over his shoulder at Jakotsu.

"Fine, then. I'll just kill you when I see you next." Inuyasha declares as he then turns and begins running through the cave.

"Oh, that Inuyasha- such a man of principles. So cute, though." Jakotsu groans as he tries to get up, but it was no use causing him to chuckle.

"I guess this is it. What the heck? I did have a lot of fun." Jakotsu adds as he closes his eyes for a moment only to then see Renkotsu was standing over him.

"Forgive me, Jakotsu." Renkotsu insists causing Jakotsu to smile slightly as he reaches down and takes out Jakotsu's Jewel Shard causing his flesh to dissipate leaving only his bones.

"Though it is only one more, I still need your Shikon Jewel Shard, Jakotsu. I will use whatever means are necessary to ensure that I remain alive." Renkotsu addresses as he then walks away with a determined expression.

"I will kill Bankotsu and that girl!" Renkotsu proclaims.

(To Kikyo)

"A barrier?" Kikyo questions as she stops in her tracks to see a Buddha in a barrier. Saint Hakushin, slowly opens his eyes to see Kikyo walking towards him, but she then stops to see the unstable barrier making her eyes widen.

"You seem to be one who was most virtuous during his lifetime." Kikyo responds as she walk to Saint Hakushin and bends down to him.

"First a Monk, now a Priestess. So do you also pursue Naraku?" Saint Hakushin asks.

"Tell me, did Naraku hide himself deep inside the barrier you created?" Kikyo questions.

"Your gaze is intense, Priestess. Are you attempting to look deep within my heart?" Saint Hakushin asks.

"I do not even have to try. You're heart is plain for me to see." Kikyo answers causing the Saint to widen his eyes slightly at her words.

"Do you scorn me? I, a Saint who saved people and forgave their sins, became the one who was lost and died suffering. Then Naraku, a demon, came to me and saved my soul." Saint Hakushin informs.
