(To Naraku)
(3rd POV)
"What?!" Naraku exclaims as his knuckles turned white from clenching his fist to hard.
"It's just as I said, Lord Sesshomaru and Lady (Y/N) seem to have grown closer." Byakuya informs. "She said she had no feelings for him, was it a lie!?" Naraku thought, gritting his teeth out of sheer frustration.
"I'd say just go steal her away if it's such a big deal." Byakuya states making Naraku glare over at him causing him to slight jump. "Did I say something wrong?" Byakuya wonders, but then a smirk appears on Naraku's face.
"Byakuya, there's something I need you to do for me." Naraku declares making Byakuya swallow hard with a nervous expression.
"The body I lent Magatsuhi has been destroyed." Naraku asserts making Byakuya slightly tilt his head.
"So you mean Magatsuhi is no more?" Byakuya asks, but Naraku shakes his head.
"He cannot be killed. Anyway, I have a good idea of what Magatsuhi will do next. In fact it is what you will help with." Naraku answers making Byakuya let out a slight sigh as he turns away. "While I go pluck my butterflies wings." Naraku thinks as he begins walking further into the darkness of the cave.
(To (Y/N) )
(Y/N)'s POV)
I was brushing Entei with thoughts raising in my head as I still couldn't calm myself down from what transpired yesterday with Sesshomaru. "He's always been sincere, but never that honest before." I think as I felt my pulse starting to pick up.
"He thanked me..." I trail off as I stared at Entei's orange hair in my hand. "No, I shouldn't dwell on it..." I think as I shook my head.
I should be more worried about Kagome." I whisper as I finished brushing Entei's hair and gave one more pat before turning away. Walking over to Kaede's house, I walk in only to see Kagome spring up out of bed with tears in her eyes.
"Are you okay, Kagome?" I ask as I rush over to her side as she stared at me in confusion.
"I failed?" Kagome questions causing me to put on a confused expression.
"What's wrong, Kagome? Are you still in pain?" Inuyasha inquires as he turns to us.
"But how'd I-"
"You lost consciousness after Magatsuhi glared at you. Do you remember what happened?" Miroku asks causing her eyes to widen with a gasp.
"That bastard Magatsuhi..." I trail off, while clenching my already made fist. However, I see (Y/N) looking around only to lock her eyes on Songo, who had the unconscious Kohaku laying on her lap.
"Kohaku, how is he Songo?" Kagome asks causing me to look over at them as well.
"Well, he hasn't woke up since it happened." Songo answers.
"I'm sure it's because Magatsuhi defiled his Shard." Kagome points out and I nod.
"Yes, I tried to purify it last night, but it seemed I used up too much Spiritual Energy in the fight yesterday." I inform making Kagome turn from me and over to Kohaku.
"Then allow me to purify it instead." Kagome insists as Miroku narrows his eyes at Kagome.
"But I still don't understand why Magatsuhi was able to defile Kohaku's Shard. Magatsuhi originates from the Shikon Jewel, which contains a speck of light that was planted there by Lady Kikyo. When Naraku tried to make contact with Kohaku's Shard, that speck of light produced an intense purifying illumination, which seemed to cause him great pain." Miroku explains making Inuyasha to turn to him.
