By The Light of the Moon~ Stray Kids x reader

"Beautiful.." ||Part 4

The night is quiet. Nothing was heard other than soft snoring and breathing from the princes. I was lost in thought until I heard rustling behind me. I snap my head in that direction, my hand on my sword.

"Oh. It's just you." I whisper when I see Prince Han awake and sitting up. "You sound disappointed. Were you wishing it was some scary monster that you could slay and have the eight handsome princes fawn over you for your bravery?" He jokes.

"I'm not disappointed, just relieved to see it's you and not a threat," I say.

"Well, who said I'm not a threat?" Han says while sitting next to me. "You seem harmless, Prince Han. No offense." I reply.

"None taken, but I'm a huge threat Y/n, I'm a little thief. You better keep an eye out or I just might steal your heart." He smiles and winks at me. I can feel my heart rate increase and my face get warmer. Thankfully it's just dark enough that I don't believe he could see it.

"My heart is good and protected. I don't think I'll need to worry about it being taken from me." I reply.

"Is that so? Hmm, that might make things a little harder than I expected. But no worries, I'll work my magic on you soon enough." He smirks. I scoff and look up at the stars. Han goes quiet, so I assume he does the same. 

The stars look outrageously gorgeous, without the smog from the kingdom they look so much brighter and prominent. The moon shines brightly, casting it's pail light onto the ground. I can't help but relax with the calm atmosphere. 

Minutes pass by as we sit in comfortable silence as we both take the gorgeous view in. Little did I know, our views were vastly different. 

"Beautiful.." I hear Han mutter under his breath. I look over at him, thinking he's still admiring the stars, but I'm surprised to see him looking directly at me.

"What?" I question. "Oh- did I say that out loud?" Han asks. I nod. He sheepishly scratches his neck. "Well, I mean it's true. You are beautiful, radiant even! Your beauty can rival the most extravagant of sunsets- or the most scenic of scenic views!" 

My heart beats faster. No one has ever complimented me to that extreme. "I- uhm.." 
I don't know what to say. A laugh escapes from Han. "Did I fluster you Y/n? Thats cute." 

Only then did I remember who exactly I'm talking to. Prince Han, the flirty and non-serious fifth born. 

'I shouldn't take it to heart, he's probably doesn't mean any of it.' 

I compose myself quickly. "No, I just didn't know how to reply. That's all." Han chuckles. "Whatever you say."

We sit in silence once more, basking in the beauty of the moon light. I stifle a yawn. 

'my sleep schedule is really going to pay for this trip.'

"Are you tired?" Han asks. I shake my head. "No, I'm alright." Han looks at me. "Are you sure? You've been up for so long, you can rest while I keep watch for you." I think for a moment, I am tired, but if something were to happen it would be my fault.

"Don't worry, I'll wake you up if anything suspicious happens Y/n. You need the rest if you're going to be protecting us." He has a point. "I guess a little bit of rest wouldn't hurt.." I yawn. 

"Oh! Here, you can use my lap as a pillow." Han says while patting his thigh lightly. "Your lap?" I say. "Yeah! Come here." He lightly grabs my wrist, pulling me closer to him. 

"There, now lay down Y/n." He says gently. "Are you sure?" I question. He hums in agreement and I lay down, my head resting on his thigh.

Han laughs. "See? Comfy." I feel his hand rake through my hair. He speaks again, this time his voice is soft and soothing. "Get some rest Y/n, you'll need it." 

He continues to stroke my hair as I drift off to a peaceful sleep.
