Hyunjin Confession

That person is...

Hyunjin.

Despite his teasing and flirting, he's caring, and it's that trait that slowly made me fall for him. Of course, the constant flirting helped with making that happen too.

I sigh. I can't believe I let myself fall for him, the flirty fourthborn. The one I told myself I would not fall for.

"Are you okay?" Minho's sleepy voice says, catching me off guard and startling me. "Y-yeah, why?" I ask. Minho rolls over on his side to face me. "That's like the fifth time you've sighed. What's on your mind? Or better yet, who's on your mind?" Minho asks with a teasing smirk. "It's Hyunjin isn't it? I've seen how you've slowly grown okay with him clinging to you. You like him, don't you?"

"How- Is it that obvious?" I say with defeat. Lee Know laughs but shakes his head. "I doubt anyone else has noticed, him especially," He says. "He's a hopeless romantic but he's dense as hell when it comes to romance," Lee Know explains.

I sigh with relief. "You should tell him, he would be over the moon to know you like him," Lee Know says. I look at him with skepticism. "He's not just flirting with you for fun, you know," Lee Know says. I bite my lip. It's hard to believe, I've heard from every maid and servant that worked with the princes every day, that he at one point has flirted with them.

"If you won't tell him, I will," Lee Know says while standing up and walking to the door. "Wait what? Minho!" I shout as I struggle to free myself from the covers. I stumble as I rush out the door and down the hall. "Lee Know!" I whisper shout. Lee Know knocks rapidly on Hyunjin's door.

"Minho! What the hell?" I whisper. He folds his arms and smiles triumphantly. I was too busy scolding Lee Know to notice that Hyunjin had opened the door and was watching us with an amused smirk. "Princess, what is this about?" Hyunjin says. I snap my head towards the door. "Oh! Uh- nothing! Lee Know was just uh... sleepwalking! Yeah, and I came to get him," I laugh nervously.

"Yep, that's all! C'mon Lee Know," I say while grabbing Minho's arm and trying to pull him back to my room, but he doesn't budge. Hyunjin hums. "That's funny, darling, because Lee Know doesn't sleepwalk, plus he looks very much awake," Hyunjin says while leaning against the door frame. "Truth is, Y/n here has something to tell you," Lee Know says while pushing me towards Hyunjin and pushing Hyunjin back into his room.

"No- Lee Know!" I shout in protest. "Bye-bye! Thank me later, Y/n-nnie~" And with that, Minho shuts the door in my face. I groan. "Something you want to tell me, hmm?" Hyunjin says from behind me. I turn around to face him. "N-nope! Lee Know is mistaken," I say, mentally cursing myself out for stuttering. Hyunjin hums and I can tell he doesn't buy it.

"So, I'm just gonna go-"

"No, you aren't,"

Hyunjin traps me in between the door and him, his face dangerously close to mine. "What is it you wanted to tell me, darling?" He says, his voice low. I hesitate to look him in the eyes. "Do I need to kiss it out of you?" He teases. I shrink into the door, trying to create some space between the two of us.

"No..." I say quietly. Hyunjin tilts his head to the side. "So you're gonna tell me?" He asks. I look down towards the floor, not wanting to look Hyunjin in the eyes. "Eyes up here princess," He says softly while tilting my chin up using his hand. "Could you cut it out with the meaningless flirting? It's driving me crazy..." I whisper.

Hyunjin chuckles. "Meaningless? Oh, darling, I mean it," He says. "Just like I mean it when I say that, I know you like me. I don't know why you're so worried to tell me," My eyes widen and he laughs softly in response. "If you ever thought there was a chance that I didn't like you, you're crazy. I've liked you ever since I first laid my eyes on you, my love," He says, his voice smooth and soft.

Hyunjin holds my chin in his hand, angling it up to face him. He smiles softly at me before slowly leaning down to place a kiss on my lips.
