Hana's break up with Jackson was difficult and a draining event to go through all because he couldn't let go of her. Even after their split, it took months to make a public announcement because Jackson was so stubborn and did not want to accept it. For a year, Hana didn't even think about dating or looking for someone new. Not because she was still hung up on Jackson, but because she simply did not have the time to date. There was no space in her life at the time to focus on a relationship when she was at her busiest. The list of things she needed to take care of, the million flights she needed to take, the number of events she needed to attend; they were endless. 

When the news of their breakup was finally released, it was only natural that Hana would get an abundance of people trying to date her. She paid no attention to any of them. She would only think about how she had no time for her friends, let alone a relationship. 

However, here perspective changed when the Born Pink tour came to an end. Blackpink had already performed at Superbowl and Coachella as well, so a huge weight was lifted off her shoulders. Hana had never felt so relieved that entire year now that her workload was much lower. 

She now had time to take week off for vacation and finally hang out with friends she hasn't properly seen in months. Hana still had no interest in dating, but she met a man that changed her mind. 

Hana first found out about Shohei through Jia who is a much bigger baseball fan than her. Honestly, after that she had forgotten about him until they met in person. The first impression she got from Shohei Ohtani was that he seemed to be very fun and outgoing, almost like a golden retriever which was a contrast to his 193cm stature. She felt like it's been decades since she last went on a date, but she did not feel worried. In fact, their first date went very well. A few days later they went on another date and then another. Today is date number four. 

They were having their date at a restaurant by the beach. It was the perfect place for them to just talk for hours and that's what they did. Being with him allowed her for feel more carefree. She began going on rants that he attentively listened to.
