"Hold still, my love." Iruka Hinode said while bandaging up Zangeki's wound.
Zangeki grunted a little, then saying, "Hurts like hell. At least I got their belongings back, some of it was used up, unfortunately."
"Well, at least you did the right thing, all thanks to your friend."
"Yeah, Kesseki has always been reliable, a really great friend, I owe him for all the things he's done for me. I'm glad to have a friend like him."
"Indeed, Chairo, you two better stay friends, otherwise I may look for someone else."
After this minor joke, Hinode finished working on the wound and stayed over with Zangeki for dinner.
Throughout the night, they had dinner, talked, chatted, and made hearty conversation.
After this, their time for bed came and the two went to sleep.
As Zangeki slept, he had nightmares, nightmares of being killed by various people, monsters, beings, entities, the ocean waves, flames, explosions, destruction.
These nightmares terrified the samurai and when one came where he was being killed by a muscular man, a sailor, he suddenly woke up to a disaster.
His home was on fire and he looked to see his love missing.
This prompted Zangeki to get up and find a way out while screaming his lover's name, "Hinode! Hinode, where are you!?"
He searched and searched, but could not find her, finding a quick escape out of his home, bringing his katana with him.
By the time he came outside, he saw the entire Hikarimachi village on fire, residents fleeing and screaming in fear.
Zangeki was both scared and furious by this, thinking that it was the Oni no Hana Clan that did all this.
He then snapped out of his rage and used his speed to save as many people as he could in the village, saving them from the fires.
After doing so, he went back to search for Hinode, calling out her name.
"Hinode, my love! Hinode, Hinode!" He shouted.
After shouting for some time, something made him stop all of a sudden.
Up ahead, entering the village by another path was a man, appearing to be middle-aged, another robed samurai like Zangeki, walking up while wielding a spear-like weapon that did not belong to Japan or China, nor any Asian country here in the East.
It was a greek weapon, a two-pronged spear, a bident.
Furthermore, the man did not look like them, for he appeared to be European.
This surprised Zangeki as he's only seen but a few Europeans, and those were samurais.
Zangeki then thought to believe that this man was not a threat at first and shouted, "Oi, what are you doing here? Don't you see that the village is on fire!?"
The man said nothing as he continued to walk forward rather quickly.
"The village is burning! Do you not understand me?" Zangeki shouted.
The man still said nothing and suddenly his walk turned into a jog, then into an all out run and dash straight towards the samurai, the man preparing himself with his bident.
Zangeki drew out his katana to fight, but he was too slow as the man then suddenly swung his bident multiple times at very fast speeds.
The samurai was able to block these attacks, but they were so fast and so strong that they literally pushed him back with each blow.
